Dr. Craig William Fortman, MD

Very unfavorable bedside manner. Refers me to everyone w/o caring or understanding my condition and health concerns. Once told me my pain was basically nothing. Has a very egotistical attitude and has left me crying about half of my visits and I push through hoping it’s just me or I’ll have a better next appointment and I never do. I ALWAYS leave feeling defeated, dismissed, embarrassed & belittled. He seriously thinks it’s his way or the highway. Reminds me a lot of a narcissist. Don’t recommend. *and yes I have a new PCP in the works*

I would not recommend Dr. Fortman. I think he is young and inexperienced. I literally had to tell him what kind of treatment I needed. He let me down and I would NEVER recommend him to anybody else.

Dr. Fortman was the backup doctor to my PCP. Dr. Fortman was very impatient with me to include advising me that I had "already exceeded his 15 minute time limit" for my visit. I was in extreme pain and found very little empathy here. Even though I just recently received mail that he's no longer accepting my insurance, I would never seek his help or lack thereof again! He is very young but I can only hope that he "matures" in his profession!

Dr. Fortman is a very caring physician! He takes his time and is very thorough. I highly recommend him!

In disbelief

Dr. Fortman explains conditions well and is very understanding. Truly wants to help you, not like other doctors where you just feel like a number to them.

I have been a long time patient of Dr. Fortman and I have received excellent care every time. He is always on time many times entering as soon as the nurse is done checking me in. He explains conditions well and is very understanding. I recently had a very traumatic event in my life and he took a great deal of time to discuss this and I really appreciate it. I have referred many family and friends to him and would do so again.

If you want a caring, understanding doctor, then Dr. Fortman is not for you. He had a student doctor in the room with us and humiliated me making an example out of me. My problem is personal, so I cannot go into detail, but it never should of happened. I left with tears in my eyes. It is hard to find a family doctor with a good bed side manner, you cannot put everyone into the same basket, we are all different, with a different set of problems, but that did not matter to the doctor.
