Dr. Craig William Herre, DDS

During the past three decades, Dr. Craig has given patients a lot to smile about. He listens, he understands and he responds to their concerns with progressive treatments that bring forth big health benefits, long-lasting results and of course – dazzling smiles. Inspired by a tradition of excellence established by his father, C. William Herre, DDS, Dr. Craig strives to optimize patients’ oral health in ways that surpass traditional dentistry. Rather than just treating symptoms, he believes in a comprehensive, proactive approach to dental health care.
He also believes in developing long-term, personal relationships with patients.
"I genuinely enjoy visiting with my patients, discussing their treatment plan and putting them at ease," says Dr. Craig. "Believe it or not, some of our patients actually look forward to coming to the dentist!"

In addition to three years of rigorous training from Orofacial Bioesthetics International, Dr. Craig has participated in hundreds of hours of post-graduate work at The Schuster Center and the L. D. Pankey Institute. Memberships and distinctions include the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Oral Medicine, American Academy of Sports Dentistry, Fifth District Dental Society – Chairman, Kansas Dental Association – Secretary, Peer Review Committee, Johnson County Dental Society – Past President, National Evaluator for Clinical Research Associates and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary dental fraternity. Most recently, Dr. Craig was elected Treasurer of the Kansas Dental Association.
A loyal KU sports fan, Dr. Craig graduated with honors from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular Biology. He graduated with distinction, summa cum laude, from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry.
Dr. Craig and his wife, Joanne, have raised three children. He’s an avid golfer and enjoys gardening, reading, cross training and traveling.
