Dr. Hogan was the one doctor who spoke honestly about my osteoarthritis and explained what I could expect now that I have this diagnosis That's all I needed...reality check!!! Now I can stop running to doctors. I'm finally informed.

Dr Hogan did both of my mothers hip replacements . She was in her late 80s at the time. Not only did he do a fantastic job but he treated her with such care and kindness. He even came in on a Saturday to check on her. So I don’t know if he will see this but I wanted him to know my mother passed away on March 1. 2023. She still always talked about him. Thank you

Long story short, after only 3 months since surgery, I saw a different doctor who told me the prosthetic was not placed correctly and it would need to be redone. He was right. Now, 15 months since Dr. Hogan did my total right hip replacement, I have seen two other orthopedic specialists and they both said: The prosthesis was mal-positioned to begin with, the stem was too short, Dr. Hogan did not use the correct size for me, it has been moving because it is loose and I have been in pain ever since. I will be having a lengthy revision surgery soon. The only thing that makes this story worse, was that the nurse overdosed me on the narcotic Dilaudid. No one monitored my oxygen pulsometer taped to my finger. When I was found I was comatose, blue, and suffered strokes in both eyes. Dr. Hogan laughed when I told him my head didn't feel right and he said that they got to me in time and I was fine. I was not fine at all. Dr. Hogan also told me in his office that I was lucky to be… alive. I agree with this comment since he was incompetent, the hospital never took responsibility, and the nurse was criminally negligent. BEWARE and do not have surgery at UCH Anschutz. I have nothing to gain by writing this horrific review other than to try and warn you. STAY AWAY! Some success stories come out of UCH, but mine was not one of them. I know of another woman who died after she had surgery the same day as me. UCH did not apologize nor take accountability for their mistakes in any manner. I know some of the female doctors and a wonderful PA and I miss seeing them. What happened to me could happen to you so be cautious. There are many other doctors to choose from, and hospitals!

Flown from Billings mt to U of C Hospital to revise a prosthesis failure. Dr. Hogan took on the challenge and it was completed successfully. This was my third hip surgery on that leg and I am 71 yrs. old Thank You

I came to Dr Hogan over 3 yrs ago. I had had a botched shoulder replacement and was not having a lot of faith in any other Dr giving me a joint replacement but I needed my knee done. I had a knee alignment on it previously, which left it at a bent position plus the terrible arthritis. I almost wanted it guaranteed in writing it would all turn out perfect. My attitude was bad and this Dr handled it with grace and gave me a new knee, which still feels wonderful and because of that surgery I had no more back pain from the terrible gait I had. Thank you, Dr Hogan for your patience and the excellent result I got.

Out of all the doctors I have seen for my knee, Dr. Hogan was the most attentive, thorough and compassionate. I felt heard and that he wanted to give me all the sides so I could make an informed decision!! Clearly he strives and succeeds to be a leader in his field!
