We cannot thank Dr\. Lillehei enough for the exceptional care he provided to our daughter during her umbilical hernia repair\. From our very first interaction, Dr\. Lillehei was kind, patient, reassuring, and incredibly personable\. He has a wonderful bedside manner and a great sense of humor, which made an experience that could have been very frightening feel much more manageable for both our daughter and us as her parents\. He took the time to answer every one of our questions thoughtfully and respectfully, never making us feel rushed or dismissed\. What stood out most was how genuinely he saw and heard us\. He treated us with compassion and respect and made us feel like partners in Eleanor’s care\. The surgery was successful, and we are so grateful for his skill and expertise\. I honestly wish Dr\. Lillehei could be my surgeon as well\! I would recommend him without hesitation to any family looking for a surgeon who is not only excellent at what he does, but who also brings… humanity, warmth, and genuine care to his patients\. Dr. Lillehei has always seen and operated on my child as an inpatient at Children's Hospital Boston. He is prompt, kind, thorough not only with his evaulation of my son, but with his time answering my questions, explaining procedures and complications, and calming my fears over the phone no matter the hour or if it is his day off.
