Craig Mcclain, MD, MPH

Craig McClain, MD, MPH, is director of the Global Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship, co-director of the Neuroanesthesia Program, and a senior associate in perioperative anesthesia in the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital, as well as an associate professor of anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School. He specializes in pediatric anesthesiology and neuroanesthesia, with expertise in intraoperative MRI-guided procedures, complex neurosurgical anesthesia, perioperative safety, and global anesthesia education. Dr. McClain earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch and completed his anesthesiology residency at the University of Virginia, followed by fellowship training in pediatric anesthesia at Boston Children’s Hospital. He also earned a Master of Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health.
