Dr. Craig H Mchood, MD

Waited over 2 hours to see this arrogant doctor for my FREE annual exam. He shows up 2 hours late, bursts in the middle of my conversation with his nurse, refuses to listen to the whole story or how I am getting better by seeing an orthopedic doctor (who diagnosed my condition as a pinched nerve in the neck and stress, and has been treating it with satisfactory results), which evidently caused this egomaniac to go on a tantrum and throw the word Multiple sclerosis to frighten me and force me to do an MRI which I told him I didn't want and couldn't afford (I was already seeing signs of improvement with my physical therapy and stress management). All I asked him was for a blood test. I cannot begin to explain the levels of anxiety and new symptoms I developed after my visit with Dr Mchood. Even if I didn't believe what he said and my physical therapist and Orthopedic doctor were shocked that he would even think or suggest that, I could not un-hear it. Also, to prove he was better… and smarter that the doctor who was treating me, he made me hold my neck in a position my physical therapist does not allow me to - to prove it wasn't a pinched nerve and made my condition regress and get significantly worse again. That wasn't the end of it but to cut a long story short, imagine my shock and disbelief when I receive a bill from this man, (remember - FREE annual) who decided we spent too long focusing on my problem and classified it as outpatient visit (we spent about 5-10 minutes after hew was 2 hours late) and it was HIM who wanted to talk as I kept telling him I am getting better, all I want is a blood test , but he pretty much told me to shut up me and actually said: " I don't want to hear you are getting better!" Even if he did think our visit was beyond an annual exam I believe I should have been informed and consented at that point - he should have said - this is going to cost you $200 , should we proceed? Unbelievable. This man should not even be allowed to treat a pack of rabid hyenas.

If I could leave less than 1 star I would. Pompous arrogant doctor who loves hearing his own voice, ignores anything the patient says and then sends them home with a bill for doing absolutely nothing except adding anxiety on top. Dr Mchood is a shame to his profession.

Dr McHood has been my primary physician for several years. He has a very common sense way that he delivers care to his patients. I find him to be compassionate and thorough.

Dr LaHood was available to see me on short notice because my regular physician was not available. He was very thorough in going through my health record as well as treating my persistent cough problem and discussing in detail his recommendations. He explained some of the former test to me from my health record and wrote in his summary on how I could be proactive in mitigating some of my health issues. I was very satisfied with his professional advice and medical competence.

Very condenscending and judge-y. I weigh 130 lbs, I'm 5'6", and he suggested I lose weight and exercise like a fiend to get rid of my high blood sugar. He constantly interrupts, and jumps to his own conclusions about what I was going to say. He's aggravating and frustrating! Looking for a new provider for sure. He is good about calling, to follow up, but that does not make up for his bedside/office manner.

His nurse is terrible! I think she needs to attend school again not only to freshen up on medical knowledge but appropriate rapport with patients. During the appointment with the doctor, he often interrupted me, mocked me and made me feel like I would get in trouble if I spoke up. I sat there quietly during the appointment almost afraid to speak of my symptoms. He would ask me to explain my symptoms, and so I would, and he would interrupt me constantly. I don't think I was even able to explain what was going on. The whole experience was horrific and made me terrified to seek help from medical professionals. Needless to say I will not be going back.

Very polite, easy to talk with, and extremely helpful

Although Dr. McHood is new doctor, we are totally impressed. So far, he has been very responsive, caring and diligent. He takes his time during visits and telephone calls and seems genuinely devoted to his patients.
