Dr. Craig Michael Rodner, MD

I've recently had carpel tunnel surgery on both hands, five weeks apart. The results are amazing - far exceeding my expectations. He is a true master of his art.

Dr Craig Rodner is by far one best doctors I have had an experience with. He recently performed Carpal Tunnel surgery on my dominant hand. I never thought surgery can be such a pleasant experience. I had a local as I do not like anesthesia.The shots in my hand went very well and when I git in to the surgery room,he remembered that I like Earth,Wind and Fire and he had the music going. Highly Highly recommendm this gift that I received name Dr Craig Rodner. Dont wait as it isnt as bad as you might think.He is at UCONN medical Center in Farmington Connecticut.

My left wrist was crushed. I could have lived with it but I was far from happy with it. I saw a few doctors and Dr. Rodner was the last one. He did an osteotomy (rebroke it, shifted the bones, plate and screws) lots of work done but oh so worth having it done. He was honest telling me the results may not be perfect. I will take an honest, compassionate, brilliant, non egotistical doctor with a staff to match. If you let your "doctor guard" down you will see he is the real thing. Trust it.

I was involved in a auto accident in which my rotator cuff, bicep, and all Ulner nerve was injured. I had surgery done by another doctor, whom performed an Ulner nerve transpositionowner but the nerve did not stay in place but detatched and every time I would move my arm the nerve would write on the bone making it feel like you hit your funny bone. Dr. Craig Radnor was able to perform a unique surgery in which he created in the area for the nerve to become free from riding across the elbow . Within days I could tell the difference . I am so appreciative of his unique skills and bedside manner thank you again.

I just had my post op visit with Dr. Rodner for my second hand surgery I had two months ago! When he asked on a scale of 1 to 10 with 20 being the worse pain, I told him “0”! Both my thumbs were arthritic and 3 years ago I had my left hand operated on to remove a bone and replace it with a tendon. Surgery went well and about 3 months later I was back to normal! Then my right hand started acting up and I was even in more pain but being it is my dominant hand I tried to put off surgery. However, 2 months ago I underwent the same surgery but this time I had a golf ball cyst on three base of my thumb. It had only been two months but I am pain free and able to get back to painting and all of my normal activities. I can’t thank Dr. Rodner enough! He’s an excellent surgeon but also one of the most caring doctorsI know! I will definitely recommend him to all my friends and acquaintances as well as everyone who is looking for the best hand surgeon ever!!!!

Dr. Rodner is the best surgeon I have ever had for anything. He is extremely talented. I am a RN and I always get a recommendation from people (in the field) before I have any surgery ever. He came highly recommended and did not disappoint. I cannot imagine a better hand surgeon on the planet. I had little to no pain following my surgery. I had to have my hand in a series of casts post op. I received the best of care from Dr. Rodner and his team. Not only is he an excellent surgeon, but his bedside manner is excellent as well. He is caring and took the time I needed to feel comfortable before going forward with the surgery. I cannot imagine a doctor taking more time pre and post op with a patient. I feel strongly that there could be no better choice than Dr. Rodner! I wish all surgeons would be as talented, knowledgeable, thorough, and kind as Dr. Rodner.

Dr. Rodner not only saved my right hand, which a few months after getting badly broken is already playing the piano again, but also showed me great personal kindness. He's a special one, and I've been very lucky to have him as my doctor.

Being mid-50's with terribly arthritic hands is not fun. After trying all the usual arthritis treatments (pain meds, ointments, steroid shots, special gloves, etc) I was referred to Dr Craig Rodner, UConn, who fused the DIP joint on my right index finger, giving me use of my right hand (my predominant hand) once again. I wish I could attach the "before and after" picture. It's quite remarkable. The pain is gone and my finger is straight and usable again. I cannot thank Dr Rodner enough for the gift. His office staff is super professional and always friendly. His surgical team answered all my many questions (my first surgery of any kind) and made me feel comfortable. 5-stars aren't enough for my recommendation. Thank you Dr Rodner. RL
