I absolutely trust Dr. Touhy. He is skilled at his trade, confident, and has good communication skills and other people skills, such as caring about his patients. He passes his confidence along to me. I tend to dread doctor's appointments, but not with Dr. Touhy.

I had a great experience at Overlake Hospital during my recent cardiologist appointment. Dr. Touhy was incredibly helpful and detailed, taking the time to explain everything clearly and address all my concerns. I truly appreciate his expertise and the supportive care he provided. We would recommend Dr. Touhy to anyone. The truth is that we've never had a bad experience with any of the Overlake staff that we've encountered. All have been professional, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to.

Dr. T was sooo good. He had extensive knowledge of Mom's past year (impressive), listened and responded to Issues In an effectively & efficiently. This whole experience was so good that I went in and hand wrote & sent in an "attaboy" (term still viable in current world?) card. Superior job!!

I shuddered as I read the one-star review below because it mirrored my experience with Dr. Tuohy exactly. He was dismissive, indifferent, and demeaning. He insisted that the very real physical condition I am experiencing (which several other physicians have attributed to a cardiac condition) was merely anxiety. And when I challenged that assumption, he then proposed that I had injured myself superficially and then "forgot" about it. After an echocardiogram, he did not call to explain results but instead sent a terse message in MyChart stating that I do not need to come in again. When I asked for additional information, he couldn't be bothered to respond but instead has a nurse send a curt message. Dr. Tuohy seems completely uninterested in the health of his patients. He should not be in the medical profession.
