Dr. Crain Henry Bliwas, MD

Ended my life as I knew it. Gave me 12 ECT treatments while concurrently loading me up on several drugs that should not be used with ect. Discharged me from hospital with toxic lithium level, when I obtained my records, I was discharged as my insurance ran out. Prescribed me very expensive "brand name" meds. When my ex-wife was in the hospital, he told her not to act so well or the hospital would discharge her. She did not need hospitalization. He told us both not to worry about hospital bills, the hospital would write them off any amount they got from insurance. I hope he is glad he ruined my life, I lost my job, my wife and my home because of him. STAY AWAY I wish I could have used his stupid civil war recreations and toss them out his window. He is a short little man with a Napoleon complex.

For a "med check" you get about 3 minutes, no matter how you are feeling. For the evaluation you get enough time. But after that you are in and out.His secretary is awful. Never sends out bills, and gave me a lecture on how people on disability become lazy and dependent (after reading in my chart that Dr Bliwas suggested I apply for disability).

I've seen this doctor several times and he is clearly trying to cram in as many patients as possible for a quick payday. While waiting 10 minutes in the waiting room, I observed 3 different patients come and go. My appt with him was over in 3 minutes and he insists on seing me every 6 months unlike every other doctor I've ever had who wants to see me annually.

he is personable, but don't see the need to come every month. doesn't give generic prescriptions, so meds are very expensive.
