She received her undergraduate degree from Mercer University in Macon, GA, and her DMD degree from the Medical College of Georgia, graduating first in her class. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Cheek is a member of the prestigious Hinman Dental Society and has been awarded membership into the honor dental society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
