Dr. Cristian Amador

Cris Amador is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) who specializes in providing therapy and counseling services to children, teenagers, and adults who are dealing with issues related to mood, anxiety, trauma, stress, life changes, and personality disorders.Cris is an active LGBTQIA+ ally who has helped clients deal with issues related to sexuality, gender identity, and coming out. Cris completed his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology at Rice University and his Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Psychology at the University of Houston–Clear Lake. As a counselor, Cris strives to create a warm and supportive environment for his clients to learn and grow as individuals. Heapproaches each client as a unique person and works with them to address their issues, meet their needs, and utilize their strengths through therapy. Cris will collaborate with you to create a unique treatment plan that utilizes eclectic elements from cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, …interpersonal, and mindfulness-based therapies. He uses evidence-based assessments and treatments to make sure that you have the tools and support you need to heal, grow, and achieve.
