My daughter is a patient of Dr. Ionita, not a "new" patient just showing up on his door. Called his office because her headaches worsened on Friday, said it was an emergency and heard back from the on call doctor on Monday. Had to deal with a child in pain all weekend. On call doctors only suggestion was go to the emergency room (no wonder the ER's are so busy). The next day her headache is worse again so I called the emergency number again and left a message (noon), reported worsening headache again and what should I do. As of 9:00 this morning I still haven't heard back. If he is your doctor, I hope you don't need him for a child in pain and crying. He is clearly happy that he is based at Yale and doesn't have to care about his reputation or online reviews, and since there are very few of his specialty around he has a license to not care.
