It was very apparent that my mother was dying, yet Dr. Alencar never told her she needed hospice. The doctor only cared about which prescription drug she could push next. We had to schedule a special call to get hospice, a call that the doctor was 2 hours late for, and we never even received an appology for her being late. When my mother denied the next drug, Dr. Alencar asked "What's your goal for hospice?" What kind of doctor asks this??? She made my mother feel like she was giving up, eventhough she died only 5 days later. Five days!!! The doctor also told her she couldn't get pain relief from hospice, without being on a "cancer" drug. What a lie! Hospice indeed gave my mother relief. Relief that she could have had months before, had Dr. Alencar actually paid attention and cared about her. My biggest regret is that we let my mom stay with this Doctor. She knows nothing, and is late for every appointment. My mother was in way more pain than she needed to be, all thanks to a doctor… who only cared about pushing drugs. If this is the direction Healthcare is going in this Country, we all are in deep trouble.

The front desk staff are very unfriendly. Not helpful and very rude. Good luck getting an appointment that works for you. I stood and watched how rude he was to an elderly woman. I almost spoke up. Wish I had of now. The triage nurse takes days to call you back for problems. The office needs more doctors. It is too busy for only one doctor. I would never go there again.
