Dr. Cuong M Nguyen, MD

Dr Nguyen is very nice but I feel I was treated different because I am overweight and pregnant. Within my first weeks i was spotting. He still insist for me to work out at least 1 hr a day. I did as he requested and that weekend started spotting again. I called the office and told the staff what happened. The staff reviewed my situation with the doctor and I was told no need to come in since it stopped and no need to come in until my next visit which was 1 month away. I had to leave his practice because I wanted to know if my baby was ok and it appeared he was not concerned.

I had an appt for 11:00 went in there for the first time and i was given the paperwork, the nurse there helped me fill out the papers which i coudnt answer. Without any further wait i was called in, got my height weight done. And i was waiting for the doctor to come. He came in within 5 mins as he was reviewing my case! He was such a gentleman, me my husband were so comfortable talking to him. It was our pre-pregnancy counseling and a well women exam. Great bedside manners. He is not a person who would just drag u into medicines - he had his honest opinions for us! Will be definitely going to him when we get pregnant!

This is my first review on a doctor but I felt I needed to share my awful experience. I see from reviews, Dr Nguyen may be an okay doctor to go to during pregnancy and to deliver a baby--HOWEVER if you have any complications or a miscarriage, this doctor has NO compassion whatsoever. My personal experience is this- warning signs were there that I may have a miscarriage several days prior to losing our baby. It was in my chart that I would need a Rhogam injection afterward. Sadly, after it was confirmed I had lost the baby, my husband and I had to sit out in the waiting room for over an hour (which was filled with many pregnant women) and call pharmacies ourselves looking to find the Rhogam as the nurse and Dr were of no help- nurse asked us to call and then when I asked the doctor where we can get it, he was of no help! Every pharmacy I called that did not have it, said the doctor is supposed to take care of it for you and most doctors have it in the office readily. My husband thank… goodness finally found the Rhogam and we went to pick up the injection. In the exam room, Dr Nguyen had NO compassion- there was not a single "I'm sorry" but instead "it happens, it happened to my wife and mother." I thought he was going to do the ultrasound to confirm the baby was gone, but instead I felt pain- he did not let me know what he was going to do, prepare me at all by saying "this may hurt" or even say "sorry" as I yelled out in pain. He never said one positive thing, that we may go on to have a healthy baby- instead he said we could have another miscarriage, the chances are the same. There was never any compassion or anything positive at all the entire time. The whole ordeal of losing a baby is painful enough, but this doctor made the experience an absolute nightmare. Will not go back and do not recommend to anyone- when complications arise or the worst happens, you want a physician who can show or at least pretend to show SOME kind of compassion.

I love Dr. Nguyen. He is amazing! I have one son and he has always been there for me. He takes his time and answers your questions. He is professional and has great beside manner. I had to have a c - section and he was very comforting and my scaring was minimal. I recommend him to all my friends and they agree. I have gone to him for 6 years. I really trust him. He recommended his sister for my son, she is a pediatrician! She is also equally amazing, I love that family!

I will not repeat all that has been said of Dr. Nguyen in the previous reviews, and they are not exagerations. what i can add to the critiques is a proffesional perspedtive, for I am a lobor and delivery nurse. After having the opportunity of observing Dr. Nguyen's obstetrical skills as well ad surgical skill, I chose him to care for me & my daughter. Many of my co-workers and their daughters go to him for their OBGYN needs. That iis the most reassuring thing you can find out about a doctor, that other health professionals who see first hand the quality of his clinical skills, choose him more than any other OBGYN working in our hospital.

Dr. Nguyen is a wonderful doctor. My really good friend recommended him to me when I moved from another state. He delivered my last child out of four and that was by far the best delivery. I highly recommend him. The office staff is attentive and so friendly. They care! I almost want to have another baby! :0)

Out of all the ob docs I've known, Dr. Nguyen is by far the best!
