Dr. Curtis Lynn Peery, MD

Dr. Peery recently did my VSG surgery (12/18). I had the best experience with him. He checked in on me frequently, followed up with me, and made me feel genuinely cared for. The office itself is really nice, the hospital staff was amazing, but I also feel like Dr. Peery listened to me, heard what I had to say, and was very meticulous with the pre op/post op and during the actual procedure. I am so pleased and already down 23 pounds!

I had a gastric sleeve done with Perry in 2022. Still to this date he is checking in with me wondering how am doing and feeling. Have lost a lot of weight a feeling great. So happy I met such a wonderful and caring person

I found Dr. Peery and team very professional and friendly. He spent time listening to my concerns and answered all of my questions. Surgery can be scary, but he put my mind at ease with his extensive experience and skill. If you choose Dr. Peery as your surgeon, you will be in great hands!

From the initial consultation, through surgery, and post-op, Dr. Peery makes you feel like you are the only patient he cares about. Appointments never feel rushed and he answers questions thoughtfully as it pertains to you and your situation. My only regret is not finding him sooner!

Dr Peery did a gastric sleeve on me 10 years ago. He also removed my gallbladder 3 years ago. He has always been kind and compassionate. When he did my sleeve he was very upfront explaining that this a tool not a cure for my obesity! I followed his program and used his staff nurses, dietitian and went from 402lbs to a current weight of 225 which I have maintained. He has always taken the time to answer my questions be it in person or email. I am glad I chose him to do my surgery’s the sleeve probably saved my life.

My experience was quite different than those who offered a 1 star. I went in for a consultation, feeling quite self-conscious and hesitant. Dr. Peery and his staff took the time to hear my concern, educate me and make me feel better about my situation. They are direct in their education which I prefer when it comes to dealing with my life even if it seems harsh. They also know the safest way to perform procedures, they aren't part of the centers for excellence for no reason ;-). I recommend as they demonstrate integrity, intelligence and compassion.

Both Dr Peery and his Nurse Andrea (andi) are self centered and not there to help their patients but to make them all lose weight. I went in for a LARGE hernia and they were more focused on me losing weight. The following comments were made to me from Dr. Curtis and his nurse; -The dr doesn't like to work around fat -you will be starving yourself but you have lots of fat to lose -you will be very sick and nonexistent to your family and job for 2 weeks - you will never lose the weight in your own - have you thought of weight loss surgery? -the reason for the diet is for you to starve yourself and your body will eat it's own fat That's just a few of their wonderful comments. I was told I needed to drink protein shakes and only that for two weeks to lose the weight. Not at all what I was there for. I asked them to not bring that up again and yet before I left Andi handed me the brochure for weight loss surgery and told me I need to highly consider it. I WOULDNT SUGGEST THEM… TO DR A DYING PIG!

Repair of paristomal hernia only lasted 4 months. I have had several surgeries in my life and this surgeon didn't answer questions clearly .

45 min. late for appointment and didn't apologize for the delay, I had to go looking for him. He told me what would happen during surgery. He said I could ask him questions but he never asked me anything about my self and didn't seem interested in me as a person. I was just a job. He had the personal attitude of a college jock. Very off-putting.

During a surgery which he told me was "routine" Dr. Peery made a drastic error which almost cost me my life. I would not recommend him to anyone for anything. In my opinion, he isn't worthy to be called doctor unless it's Dr. Death.
