Dr. Cynthia Elaine Allen, MD

Dr. Allen has been my primary doctor for almost 17 years. Never one time have I went to her office and she didn't take time to listen to what was going on with me. She really cares very much about her patients. Her nurse is sweet but can seem rude but is not really, it is just her way. She is just all business most of the time. But she does laugh and ask about my family so she does care. But if Dr. Allen can't figure it out she can find someone for you that can. She doesn't act like she knows everything and no one can tell her anything different. She is very sincere about the well being of her patients. I have stayed with her all these years because she is caring and she is very kind and cares about each of her patients.

I have seen Dr. Allen 2 times in 2013 I was a new patient. My appt. was made for my yearly wellness then when I arrived I was told if any other issues were going to be discussed I would need to see her that day for prescriptions and general questions and then resch. At another time for my wellness what a way to get to charge twice. I did get my prescriptions and had my get to know you visit and I came back for my annual wellness which was very confusing because her nurse who was very rude would tell me one thing then Dr. Allen would tell me something totally different. Dr. Allen is a very sweet and caring doctor which I thought was going to work out really well I understood that my restoril medication could only be written for 6 months but when I called back to see if I could either come by and pick up a prescription or either have one called in I was told by this rude nurse again that I would need to come back in for another office visit. I asked her if she would please have Dr. Allen… to call me by phone and she called me back and said that Dr. Allen told her to call me back and say that's the way it was going to be and if I didn't like her rules that I could find someone else. Hearing this really did not sound like the Dr. That I had seen who seemed to be so sweet and understanding who had a very nice front office staff a very clean office and an office that I thought was really going to be a nice fit for me as a patient. I believe that her nurse has been with her a long time which I can not recall her name but she is very short and rude when she talks with you in person and over the phone and also I work for doctors that she said she had been to our office before and that we made people wait way to long to see one of my doctors which I have no control over the wail and I really did not want to hear this when I was at Dr. Allen's office as a patient. I am very upset and disappointed in the way things have turned out and only wish that I could at least have received a phone call from Dr. Allen to address my issues with her.

Dr. Allen is compassionate and caring. She has helped me through some difficult medical and emotional issues. Both she and her nurse and staff truly reflect the meaning of medical 'care'.

Dr. Allen is caring and compassionate. She listens to you which is something most doctors won't do. She may not be able to help you but she will get you an appointment with a recommended specialist and have you fixed up with it before you leave her office. She is a superb family practitioner..
