Dr. Cynthia Marie Bender, MD

I was a patient of Dr. Bender for over 7 years. She was the best Dr. I have ever worked with, taking the time to listen and coming up with solutions that greatly improved my quality of life. There are not enough good things to say about Dr. Bender and her staff!

Dr Bender is forthright, explores every possibility for treatment, and above all, *listens*. Even if she doesn't agree with you or do what you want, her decisions are sound and take your words into consideration. She takes pains to explain any regulations limiting her options, but doesn't hide behind money-driven company policy. She's honest, and she cares. Ignore the poor "I didn't get what I wanted" reviews. She will give you as close to a pure medical decision as you're likely to find, unlike many doctors who recite company policy as if it's their considered medical opinion.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bender for years. She has been so helpful. She and her staff are wonderful.

I have been a patient of Dr Bender and her staff for 17 years. Never have I had a bad experience. Dr Bender is very caring, kind, knowledge and professional plus her staff is so kind. I have come to think of them as friends.

i feel that dr. bender is good at evaluating who needs what...also she spends as much time as you need to describe your condition and also evaluates your physical and person health

I would not see Dr. Bender again. I have multiple symptoms from 2 injuries that I was looking for answers on and she bordered on being downright rude. I was trying to differentiate on what symptoms were related to each injury and she was rude in her responses and pretty much told me I had enough therapy and I should get back to exercising instead of worrying about further injury to myself. She said that my regular doctor's observations were wrong, and all of this from just a few minute conversation.

The first visit I got a mini consult, a little massage and then she gave me a cortisone shot. It hurt something awful and was not prepared for that. When going on a patch for pain, found she was somewhat trite and didnt really want to discuss anything..pretty much here is your rx, see you in a month or so. I was hoping I would get some information on alternative therapies that would be better than just narcotics. She never really seemed to have the time or inclination to talk about my healthcare needs.

This person should have her license yanked is the considered opinion of several unfortunate pain patients I know including myself. Go to UW. Stay away from this woman.
