Not helpful to solve patient's problem.

This office will not give you results over the phone even if they need to be addressed. I became pregnant while being monitored for thyroid issues through blood work and routine urinalysis. I told one Medical Assistant of this news over the phone and another in person when having my blood drawn because I had no direct contact with Cynthia herself this appointment and I couldn't reach her by phone because she never answered her line and had no voicemail set up. I was told they would not give me my latest results without making another appointment. I made the appointment just to find out that they did not test the hormone they said they would (a very important test regarding fetal health) or any thyroid functions for that matter. I had also tested positive for a significant infection...again while pregnant. They sat on this information for two weeks without as much as a phone call or even any acknowledgment that this was irresponsible on their part when they did finally tell me in… person. Also, this information was given to me after waiting for an hour in the exam room where I could hear the NP saying to other staff members that she couldn't find my results and wasn't sure why I was even there. Clearly she had not been informed of the pregnancy but still found it acceptable to have not provided me with the pertinent information in the weeks leading up. I've never felt compelled to review a healthcare professional before but this provider and her staff are highly unprofessional and incompetent. You will likely find more frustration than relief unfortunately.

I am 79 years old, and have numerous illnesses. Dr. Burdick is the most thorough and tenacious primany care physician I have ever had.

Dr. Burdick is personable, well-spoken, a very good listener and really smart. She takes the time to get a clear picture of my health. Her explanations are clear and she checks for understanding. She is focused on our interactions and asks for clarification if my explanations are unclear. She is clearly respected by other staff and physicians at Group Health. If there is a downside, it's that she is in demand, so it's hard to get an appointment on short notice.
