Dr. Cynthia Leonard Garr, MD

Very rude and condescending. She once told me I needed to stop nursing my 6 month old because he wasn't getting enough vitamins through me. She judged me and was so rude when I told her my two year old wasn't vaccinated against covid. I don't trust her at all and will never take a child back to see her again.

She was very cold, condescending, and rushed. My children were not comfortable with her, and nor was I. Not warm, not compassionate. I Was very unhappy when she told me my 6 year old was overweight, in front of him, and basically wanted me to start him on a diet (my child is far from FAT, if he was I would not be upset). Most recently I had a phone consult with her because my children were sent home from daycare after vomiting- her very rushed response was "clear liquids/no food for 24 hours, no need to come in for an office visit". They won't be allowed back to school/daycare without a negative Covid test at this point, so not very helpful. I avoid appointments with this provider, and would not suggest her to a family looking for a warm, compassionate and caring pediatrician.

So lucky to have Dr. Garr as a DR. She takes the time, she is thorough,patient and is kind. An excellent Dr. that is extremely knowledgeable. She spoke to my teen daughter as an individual and encouraged her to be aware of her health. Dr. Garr helped find the best solution for my child. Thank you!

Did not connect with my kids..will not be back to see her.

I am not an ignorant parent. I too am a healthcare professional. I have the expectation that healthcare professional should be compassionate and caring. I had to bring my child in to see Dr. Garr as my usual provider was not available. She was cold and abrasive. My child did not even feel at ease with her. I was treated as if I didn't know anything. I did not agree withher diagnosis nor she with what I presumed might be wrong with my child. Turns out I was correct. She needs to listen to and collaborate with parents.

Doctor Garr is a child's advocate through and through. She is not rude or condescending she tells it like it is. She isn't going to sugarcoat anything where a child's care is concerned. Some parents that are ignorant may not be able to handle that. On her own time she came to see my child when he was hospitalized once, what doctor takes the time to do that? One that cares, I wouldn't want anyone else to treat my son.

Exceptionally abrasive bedside manner. Would expect a pediatrician to be a kind and caring healthcare professional. Will not be returning to this clinic.

Very rude and condescending. Very disrepectful to her medical assistants. Will never make an appointment with her again.
