Cynthia Gravel, MD, RDMS

Cynthia Gravel, MD, RDMS, is director of Ultrasound in the Division of Emergency Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital and an associate physician in pediatrics, as well as an assistant professor of pediatrics and emergency medicine at Harvard Medical School. She specializes in pediatric emergency medicine and point-of-care ultrasound, with clinical and research interests focused on emergency imaging, skin and soft tissue infections, and improving diagnostic care in acute pediatric settings. Dr. Gravel earned her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed her residency through the Boston Combined Residency Program, followed by fellowships in pediatric emergency medicine and emergency ultrasound at Boston Children’s Hospital. Her work centers on advancing the use of bedside ultrasound and delivering high-quality, evidence-based emergency care for children.
