Dr. Cynthia Ann Jansky, MD

I had a very disappointing experience with this OB throughout my pregnancy and labor/delivery. My follow-up appointments always felt rushed, and it was difficult to ask questions or have meaningful conversations about my birth plan. The day I went in to deliver after being induced the evening before, the doctor barely addressed me directly, which left me feeling unheard during one of the most important moments of my life. I also felt that my concerns before delivery were dismissed rather than thoroughly evaluated. My labor ultimately required a forceps-assisted delivery, she never noticed my child being sunny side up, and I suffered a third-degree tear. While every birth is different, I expected better communication, compassion, and patient-centered care. This was a traumatic experience for me, and I would not recommend this provider. There are many wonderful OBs in the area—I encourage expecting moms to do their research and choose someone who will truly listen to them.

Found out I was pregnant while in the hospital suffering from an allergic reaction all over my whole body. Called her office the next day to ask about the steroids I had been given in the hospital and ask a few questions about coming in to see if anything could be wrong. Her office scheduled me a month out with some doula and told me she’d give me a call about all the medicines. No one ever bothered. Wasn’t even a new patient of hers. She’s been my gynecologist for a couple of years. Really, go anywhere else.

I trust Dr. Jansky and always feel like I have her utmost attention. She is attentive to my needs and is always helpful and upfront.

I literally had to wait an hour for her to attend me. It takes way too long. Her staff is okay, can't complain. But the wait is rediculous.

Would not recommend. Never has time to answer questions and blows you off. Concerned was urinating 8 plus times every night and she told me that if I didn't drink fluids after noon that it would not be a problem. Had a never ending period of over 30 days and declared without any exam that my hormones were off. I expressed concern about family history of 2 female cancers and she said take it or leave it and then walked out. Another time was referred by Family Doctor for pain. She read the abnormal ultrasound results that I provided, never touched me or looked at me and said that that was not the cause of my pain. She then walked out of the room. No longer see her. Have tried 2 other Doctors in this practice and they all have the same poor bedside manner.

I transferred OB from Kansas to Texas because of my husbands deployment. This is my first pregnancy and with my doctor in KS I felt very comfortable, cared for, concerned about, and would recommend her to all. Then I came here and now I feel the complete opposite with Dr. Jansky. She never asked me one question about the problems I've had, that are in my medical records. They forgot to have my scheduled gender revealing ultrasound at 26 weeks, until I reminded them. At my last visit my vitals (blood pressure/weight) weren't taken till I reminded them as I was about to leave. That wouldn't be a huge issue with me if I hadn't been diagnosed at 7 weeks with hyperemesis, that caused me to lose all the weight I have, and difficult to gain the only 3 lbs I have gained. All in all, not happy and I wish I could still be with my dr in KS..

Love her! She doesn't waste yours or her time. Yet she is always very thorough and spends the time to answer any questions you may have.

I totally agree with another review saying that Dr. Jansky always seems to be in a rush, doesn't spend any time in discussing wellness, birth options, birth plans, procedures etc. And the average waiting time for me was absolutely not 15 minutes, more like 40 minutes. Once I waited 1.5 hours and then she even did not apologize for the long waiting time. When I expressed my disappointment she did apologize and told me that was because of emergency. Well, aren't they supposed to let me know in cases of emergency that the waiting will be long and give me an option to reschedule the appointment? If you have questions it is difficult to ask them. Because she always tries to run away as soon as physical exam is complete. Her manner to answer questions staying in the doorway is very annoying.

Dr. Jansky is wonderful! I like how I can have a quick in-and-out visit, OR, if I have questions or concerns, she will go over them with me and I leave feeling totally comfortable. There's a lot of negativity towards medical/hospital births these days, but all of my requests were honored during delivery and I had a great experience. Dr. Jansky IS very busy but it is because she is a top-notch, well-respected doctor!

Did not spend any time in discussing wellness, birth options, birth plans. She did not take my concerns seriously or give me any type of informed consent for any of the procedures. Neglected to mention to me that I was borderline diabetic (based on tests). Told me 70 lb weight gain was no problem without even questioning my diet. Always seemed to be in a rush.
