Dr. Cynthia T Javellana, MD

Dr. Javellana comes off as impersonal. As if she is reading off of cue cards or a flow chart the questions she should be asking. She avoids all conversations about Class 2 drugs and tells me that I don't need them, even though I have been on a ADD medication for over 15 years. After the second time about asking I was referred to another doctor for evaluation. Just as I was referred to at therapist to discuss my issues with anxiety and PTSD. Trying to figure out what she was good for??? During the height of Covid-19 all appointments were conducted with zoom. The first introduction appointment went for about an hour. The following 2 were about 15 minutes if that. Easiest paycheck of the day for her I'm sure. As Covid-19 restrictions have changed she never once offered an in office interview or meeting. She seems content with conducting zoom meetings, as it is easier to blow off patients. During the following zoom meetings she just asked how I was doing and if there was any change. She… did not ask any opened questions for me to start a dialogue or express my concerns. Her accent is hard to understand through zoom. I have left her care and have found better treatment for my ADD, anxiety and PTSD. Would not recommend.

I was seeing Dr. Javellana for about a year until a couple of months ago. I never felt comfortable discussing things with her as I felt like she wasnt listening to my concerns and only wanted to increase the mediciation I was on to double what I was taking and when I told her it made me sick, she said to just keep taking it and see if things level out. Most of her responses to my concers were just "okay" and "mm-hmm." Resulting in feeling like I wasn't being heard or that she didnt really care. Currently looking for somewhere else to go, I'd rather go without my medication than continue to see her.

I saw Dr. J in her office at the Summitt Group in Pensacola. I was very pleased with her compassion and understanding. I have had difficulty with several doctors in Florida judging me without listing or trying to understand my circumstances. Not Dr. J. she got what I was saying and understood my deep issues that stem from my childhood and adulthood. Most of all she BELIEVED ME! Other doctors wanted to brush my history off as unbelievable and I couldn't understand WHY they would think I would subject myself to these types of issues if they were NOT THE FACTS. I am content and fill uplifted and that I do have hope with Dr. J. Thank YOU, Dr. J., for believing in ME! Judy

Dr Javellana is a horrible doctor. She does not speak English very well and it’s difficult to understand her. She follows no accepted physical treatments and makes decisions outside accepted practices. Her diagnosis are without merit. Her staff are just as unqualified as Dr Javellana. Dr Javellana should not be allowed to practice. She makes unreasonable decisions which are not based on intelligence decisions. There are not enough words to describe Dr Javellana poor practice. She will Baker act a patient without merit. Other doctors do not agree with her diagnosis.

This woman would not let me speak of anything about my history and life and why I needed help. She spent the entire appt. criticizing the teo medications I was already taking for anxiety then went on to tell me I was lying about my history of domestic violence. She refused to get my Birmingham records or retest me. I wanted my money back to go to another doc and she refused that too. Never see this woman.

This woman is horrible. She simply does not care, or even remember her patients. She had me on medicine that was not working, and I told her that, and all she did was increase that same medicine dosage. She is rude, uncaring, unprofessional, and after I told her I was having a really hard time, she told me that I needed to be more positive. After that visit she refused to see me further. She is an absolutely horrible person.

My son had an initial appt. w/ Dr. Javellana and asked me to come w/ him.While there I asked to talk w/ her for just a few moments to give her some insight of what was going on w/ my son. He is an adult but was quite nervous about going and I was afraid he would forget some things. He was agreeable and would have been present but was told by her medical asst. she did not meet w/ anyone but the patient. When she called him I asked her if I could tell her a few things and she said she would call me after the visit. She did not and talked about it w/ my son saying he could tell her. I understand that but as a result some things did not get explored as would have been helpful in his diagnosis. I think that is a flaw on her part as patients are not always insightful in their behaviors and I wanted her to get an accurate assessment of what was going on. Other than that he liked her and thought she was nice. I personally think a Dr. needs to gather as much info. as they can to make an… informed diagnosis.
