I asked for an equivalent total dosage of my medications in a different form-capsule to tablet. I figured this wouldn't be a problem. Initially, I was told that in the tablet form it would amount to "too many pills" which made absolutely no sense. So I thought if the total amount of pills was the issue, for whatever obscure reason, then I would ask to lower the dosage slightly-- which seemed reasonable enough--in order to compensate for "too many pills" in order to receive the tablet form of the medication. Naturally, I was given another excuse as to why the dosage couldn't be changed slightly without consultation. My prior doctor had no qualms about changing medication forms or the isomer of the medication as long as I thought it would help or make a difference. Note, I was in a trial period of finding the right medication and dosage so giving me these short-sighted excuses upset me, especially since I have a VALID DIAGNOSIS for my current condition. As a patient, I am really upset.… As a consumer, these excuses weren't about helping but perhaps because of bureaucratic nonsense or the doctors personal reasons since the medications are schedule c2. So much for standard of care.
