Dr. Cynthia V Lavadia, MD

I brought my daughter to her for check-up and I have list of questions. She said wait is that all your questions?! She sounded upset and she said omg! And my husband saw that she rolled her eyes while I'm not looking at her. Ofcourse I have to ask some questions about my daughters condition. I will never go back to her. Very rude Doctor. Not compassionate. I'm surprised she got an award for compassionate. Well, I give her 1 out of 5 rating for compassionate.

I checked online for Dr. Lavadia and it still shows her old office. Lucky for me, a friend from my mom and me class told me where.... Anyway, Dr. Lavadia is solid as far as doctors go.... She was great with following up after I brought my daughter in for vomiting. I was anxious but the nurse put me through to her regarding my worries.ð???

Dr. Lavadia is a very nice person. Although, she does repeat many things that she has told us in our previous visits, so it does make us feel like she doesn't remember her patients very well, at least not son. Her front desk staff could be more friendlier, a smile goes a long way. She has her medical assistants give shots. They do an o.k. job. but they can't answer me when I have general questions. Also, the billing department has sent me three invoices mistakenly because I made my co-pay during our visits. We had to go back for a couple shots, reading the previous comment, I guess it is pretty common. I don't know where we stand at this point. Dr. Lavadia should not be punished for the negative reviews. But I think it does trickle down from doctor to staff. They do need better communication and more training. As a parent, I would appreciate all reviews, good and bad.

Both my children (5 1/2 yrs. old & 2 1/2 yrs old) have been going to Dr. Lavadia for almost 6 years now. In my experience, neither one of my children are behind in shots; however, on one occassion, by my own fault, my youngest missed a shot (Hep A) and was immediately reminded not only by the staff but also by Dr. Lavadia and he was given it immediately. I have never experienced a shortage of shots and as a parent, I asked Dr. Lavadia what shots are next to come, when, and which ones so I can keep record as well. In my opinion, Dr. Lavadia has strong work ethic, has a great bedside manner, takes the time to talk to you about any and all concerns you may have about your child and most importantly, she will go above and beyond the call of duty when it is needed. An example is when my youngest son was born and we both were discharged from St. Jude to go home. He had jaundise really bad and she was in constant contact with me and my husband, even after her shift at the office, letting… us know where our son needed to be admitted to either the peds unit at St. Jude or at the CHOC Hospital in Santa Ana. There is never enough good comments that circulate and people tend to sway their judgement on the negative comments. It comes down to this: Talk with the doctor first and then make your decision and you may be surpised that you are missing out on one wonderful doctor.

I have been going to Dr. Lavadia since my daughter's first checkup after birth. She is currently 16 months. I have no problem with the doctor, she has excellent bedside manner, caring, and informative. What I don't understand is why are they always running out of certain vaccines??? The worst part is that they won't inform you to come back and they don't have it on their records. When I enrolled my oldest daughter for kindergarten, I was told that she was missing one mmr shot. Their excuse: they were out of that vaccine at the time. I was upset that the staff never informed me during her visits, nor did they ever contact me to come back. The most recent incident was when my husband took my second child for her 16 month check up. Dr. Lavadia was not there. Instead, the other doctor informed him that she was missing 6 shots! Unbelievable! I am waiting for Dr. Lavadia to get back to me (hopefully, it's not one of her staff) and explain to me why this occurred. We are definitely fed up...… I'm going to change doctors as soon as we get this situated. I don't ever want this to happen again!

Dr. Lavadia has been our boys pediatrician since they were born. After I delivered each boy, she came in at St. Jude's hospital and examined them and even asked me how I was doing. She answered all my questions because as a new mom....I had a dozen! She was professional and has excellent bedside manners. We chose her for our boys because other families referred her to us. Our boys are now in elementary school and they even tell their teachers how great Dr. Lavadia is. If we ever had a question, I would call the office and leave a message during business hours. By the time it was 1pm or sooner, Dr. Lavadia returned my call. We highly recommend Dr. Lavadia!!!

Dr. Lavadia has been my daughters doctor since birth, she is now 11, and she loves her. Dr. Lavadia speaks directly to her and always makes her feel very comfortable. The staff is always polite and professional. I have recommended her to friends that also have her as their pediatrician.

Dr. Lavadia is the best pediatrician that I have taken my children to see. I have 4 children. My youngest has serious health issues. She is wonderful with all of my children. Her staff is amazing. All of our needs are met, always. I recommend her. :)

My children have been seeing Dr. Lavadia for the past two years. We are a military family, and this month we are relocating to Japan. Where I feel Dr. Lavadia and her staff went above and beyond was this past week when several important documents needed to be completed and submitted to the military coordinator. Had it not been for the efficient and timely response of completing and submitting our paperwork, our relocation to Japan would have been delayed significantly. I can't thank Dr. Lavadia and her staff enough!!

When my oldest was eight-weeks old, we noticed blood in her stool. Dr. Lavadia correctly diagnosed it at a protein allergy and referred us to the best GI doctor and allergist. My daughter ended up getting the appropriate care very quickly and was immediately on the mend. My son's issue ended up being ear infections. He was also referred to an excellent Head, Neck, Ear, and Throat doctor who (in addition to clipping his tongue because he was tongue tied) performed an ear tube surgery on him. I'm happy to say that he hasn't had an ear infection since. As a working mom, I sometimes panic when my children become sick. Lavadia has always been spot on about the severity of their condition acts accordingly. It's such a relief to have a pediatrician who knows what she is doing.
