Dr. Cynthia Yukie Ohata, MD

I lost my job due to my former primary care physician refusing to fill out F.M.L.A. Paperwork for my job. Needless to say I lost my benefits, my insurance and a job I truly loved which knocked my self worth right in the chops so to speak! I have been told by the former physican that he refused to treat me when the "mystery condition" got worse and developeeedd into cellulitis in my legs! His refusal was based on because I ahd no insurance. He did not believe I would be fired but I was! I had been hospitalized twice now for this mystery condition which developed into severe Cellulitis of the legs not one but both!! No help no Dr's wanting to take me on. The 2nd trip to the hospital I was also diagnosed with low blood iron anemia (not diabetes & low blood sugar) and a nasty infection called Pastuerella Multi Cida, believed to be caused by a cat scratch or cat or dog lick. Needless to say the hosptial stay was not fun, nor was it good. However teh good thing that cme out of it was being… assigned to Dr. Ohata even tho they recomended her they did not tell her about me I guess. Not only did she make me feel welcomed under the circumstances, but I was in tears when I asked her if she was gonna be my doctor because I thought she was going to dump me like the others had. She is a wonderful Lady Doctor and she cares deeply about whats going on. She just doesnt address the outside things that are going on or the wounds she also has the compasssion to address the inner deeper issues which sometimes in this day & age doctors often forget are a part of the illness proess and also can be a integral part of the healing process. I am going on my 3rd appoinment to see her to address my lymphaedema you see it was the lyjphaedema that was the mystery condition that caused me to miss work as I could nto get shoes on my feet to go to work or be able to walk some times. And taking public transport is not easy with no shoes in the winter time!! I am hoping that with Dr. Ohata, not only will my condition will improve but that I can turn around all the negative damage done to me by others who were not interested in my well being...granted Dr. Ohata has her hands full with me, but I like her and I have a deep faith in her. That is something that alot of Doctors lack these days is a report with their patients. I reccomend Dr. Ohata without any doubt! She explains things in ways that the average person can understand and she does it with profound dignity and grace. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate Dr. Ohata a perfect 100!! No lie No baloney!!!SHE IS THAT GOOD!!
