Cynthia Tung, MD, MPH

Dr. Cynthia S. Tung is a pediatric anesthesiologist at Boston Children’s Hospital and a senior associate in Perioperative Anesthesia and Pain Medicine within the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine. She is also an assistant professor of anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School and specializes in pediatric perioperative anesthesia, pain management, and medical acupuncture. Dr. Tung earned her medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, completed an internship in internal medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, an anesthesiology residency at the University of Maryland, and a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Boston Children’s Hospital. Board certified in anesthesiology and medical acupuncture, her clinical work focuses on providing safe, comprehensive perioperative care for children while incorporating integrative approaches to pain management and recovery.
