Dr. Cynthia L Vanderbosch, MD

Dr V was my physician 20 yrs ago. She was knowledgeable, compassionate and easy to communicate with on medical issues.

I went in to redimed to get checked out because I had diarreah that lasted almost a full week mind you my diarreah in the past lasted only 1-2 days max not almost 5 days plus I don't get flu symptoms often. So I address this with her and she talked to me like I'm 5 years old and supposedly eating dairy things plus mild spices causes diarreah to continue which I didn't know because I'm not a doctor. She could've been less rude when explaining this to me then she leaves the room and prints off pamphlets describing what diarreah is and this insulted me. I will never visit this redimed location again if she is in office and on top of that slapped with a bill only to be treated like I'm stupid.

I personally don't care for healthcare providers. I loved the fact that she was direct and to the point. Extremely knowledgable in her practice and sharp to cut my over thinking ability. Knows her business, followed by facts and even took the time to research said questions asked at the appointment. Followed up with results from my appointment. Greatly recommended for those seeking honesty.

Redimed should beware of this doctor. She dismisses vital information from the patient. Does not listen and assumes that the patient is not knowledgeable. Earlier encounter by another family member : She ignored patient's complain about severe headaches that resulted in a stem- stroke.

I seen Doctor Vanderbosh as I was looking for a new family doctor. The one we had became ill and is not practicing any longer. The first meeting was a bit odd, but today was the followup.. Nurse sits with her back to you typing into the computer.. never face to face contact, while asking questions. I asked if they had the hospital information, she said no, I said hmm after 5 weeks one would think they would, since the hospital is next door and they are all computerized. She stated the doctor will be right in. After 40 minutes I left.. I am now looking for a Caring Doctor. One that will not entertain the Pharmacy rep before the patients.

Very thorough.

Does not return telephone calls when requested. No response to irregular blood tests. You can only discuss one problem at a time; any other problems you have to reschedule another appointment. Not very caring about patient's concerns. Does not follow up after visit.

Dr. V takes the time to talk with patients and is never in a hurry to end the appointment. She has lowered my blood pressure with the correct meds and orders any tests she feels are needed and is very thorough. I am so glad that I found her for my physician.

I have been to see Dr VanderBosch twice now and both times have been stuck in an exam room for about 45 minutes (after sitting in waiting room for at least 15). There only appeared to be about 2 other people in the waiting room, so I have trouble understanding this. The time actually spent with the Dr. was about five minutes, and I was prescribed a steroid for a respiratory infection rather than an antibiotic. It would have been nice to have been given a choice, because the Prednisone is not helping and is making my skin red and hot. Now I have to call back and see if an antibiotic can be called in for me, because I am definitely not going back for another office visit!
