After enduring horrible pain and significant loss of mobility, I had a total right shoulder replacement in July. Dr. Lashgari was great in explaining the procedure and likely outcomes. Surgery went off without a hitch and, after physical therapy, I am virtually pain-free with great mobility. Dr. Lashgari is professional, yet kind. The staff--Amanda and gretchen--are wonderful. I have already recommended them to others who need orthopedic care. Thanks....

I presented with terrible elbow and shoulder pain. Dr. Lashgari was very compassionate regarding my pain. He was punctual and very thorough. He helped me with my pain and explained everything in detail. Terrific bedside mannor. I wish he treated more than just the shoulder and elbow. Very happy with this physician.

Dr Lashgari is a superb shoulder surgeon. He is caring, compassionate and take the time to explain everything in full detail. I would use him for my shoulder and elbow surgery anytime.

I woke up with severe pain in my right shoulder and was seen at the Anne Arundel emergency room. After labs and radiographs, it was determined I had calcific tendonitis. I was given an injection of anti-inflammatory medication, sent home with 20 tabs of pain medication and told to follow up with my orthopedic doctor. Since I currently see the knee specialist in the same practice (who I am very happy with) I figure I would see Dr Lashguri ( since he is the shoulder specialist). After a brief physical exam he concurred with the diagnosis and explained it was one of the most painful conditions one could experience within orthopedics and their are three treatment options; oral anti-inflammatory medication, oral steroids, or an injection of cortisone in the shoulder joint. I chose option two; oral steroids. The doctor gave me the prescription for steroids and I asked for additional pain medication (because I had 5 tabs left and knew it would take time for the steroids to work) He… said "Pain medication IS NOT the way to treat this." I understand but the steroids are not going to work instantly, The doctor finally gave in and wrote a prescription for 10 tabs. While I understand doctors want to be cautious when prescribing pain meds (and it is upsetting that the "abusers" cause problems for people who are actually in pain) but I expect a good COMPASSIONATE provider to be able to tell the difference and for this reason, I would not recommend this physician. He needs to work on his bedside manner/his ability to identify with his patients.
