Dr. Cyrus Press, MD

Could not be happier with my experience with Dr Press so far. After undergoing treatment on my shoulder for over a year, Dr Press just conducted a total shoulder replacement surgery on my left shoulder in February. I am already extremely pleased with the resulting relief of arthritic pain and progressing through recovery/rehabilitation. Dr Press and Physician Assistant Brandi Fossum are the epitome of class and professionalism in surgical care, have remained in constant contact and communication throughout the entire process, and reflect the knowledge and caring that the medical community should strive to be. I owe them both a great deal of thanks.

Meeting Dr. Press for the first time was like seeing an old friend after many years. He was very glad I stopped by, was genuinely concerned with how I was doing, and made me feel like we'd known each other forever. After reading my chart, checking my x-rays (taken by his attentive and competent staff 10 minutes after I arrived at the office), asking me specific questions about the location and severity of the pain in my arm/elbow, he was able to diagnose the problem and immediately recommend focused stretches for pain relief, and discussed possible treatments should the pain persist or worsen. I was impressed with his knowledge on my specific ailment, and that he took the time to explain the treatment options in hoping to avoid eventual surgery. I chose Dr. Press because of this surgical prowess (as recommended by a doctor friend of mine who had Dr. Press surgically repair his shoulder) but I'm just as impressed that he's he working to help me avoid surgery if that's even possible! … Kudos to me for finding such a fine doctor!! B-) And a shout out to his wonderful NP Brandi for being awesome too (she contacted me a few days after the appointment to see how I was doing and has been a great help to me).

Dr Press did an outstanding job for me. He performed a total shoulder replacement. Now I can perform all of the things that I want using my shoulder without any pain. I have a full range of motion and I was able to get back to golfing in record time. I highly recommend Dr. Press.

The saying, "first impressions are lasting," I would have to say that is true! From the onset of my appt/exam, I felt very comfortable with Dr. Press. He was thorough in explaining my diagnosis and his assessment for treatment. Excellent bedside manners. The staff who assisted was very professional/warm as well. I would definitely recommend Dr. Press.

Dr. Press did an excellent job removing hardware from an old elbow injury. The hardware had been there for 15 years and was suddenly causing problems with a screw actually backing out of the bone. He was able to remove all the hardware successfully despite the fifteen year time lag and my elbow works like new with the hardware removed and the bones repairing themselves fine. I would highly recommend him as a surgeon.

Dr Press repaired my Labrum and my Rotator Cuff, both of which were severe. In his words “In my career I have only had two cases where I have repaired both at the same time, you are the third” I got home from surgery and was waiting for the block to wear off so I could feel the pain. History; I had the same shoulder done 14 years earlier and the surgeon at that time had cut my bicep because it was torn badly. The surgeon put a medal staple into the bone to secure it. That was the absolute worst pain I have ever felt! Back to this time; the block wore off and there was no pain to speak of. I kept my arm in a sling and slept upright for the first week. After that I began taking my arm out of the sling and moving it around very gently…I had excellent range right out of the gate and it felt great…too great. I met with Dr Press for my initial visit after two and a half weeks, he asked how do you feel? I answered by taking my arm out of the sling and finger walking up the wall to… show him. Dr Press is a magician with the knife and I recommend him to anybody who wants to get repaired and get on with life quickly! Just remember, Do Not come out of the gate too hot! I did and paid an extra week in the sling prior to PT. Thank you Dr Press for such an outstanding job! Charlie Locke

Patient, Knowledgeable and Instructive. During the time from diagnosis through surgery and healing, Dr. Press listened intently to all of my concerns and all of my questions. His responses were both clear, in layman's terms, and complete. His tone was conversational and kind. When needed, he used models and x-rays to explain what needed to be done. Clearly, he respects those who come to him for help. A doctor such as Dr. Press is rare. Without hesitation, I would recommend him. Thank you for sharing your gift, Dr. Press. MH

I had the original surgeon do a repair but it failed. Then I had another surgeon that was going to attempt an allografts. He determined it was too far gone to try and referred me to Dr Press. Dr Press did a Total Reverse Shoulder Replacement. I was quite nervous going forward with this surgery. But as my shoulder was totally useless I had no choice. Dr Press and his team were with me every step of the way. I am now pain free and have complete use of my arm and shoulder. I have very little limited range of motion.

Dr. Press performed surgery on my rotator cuff (operating on the supraspinatus, subscapularis, and bicep tendon). The surgery was very comfortable and easy from the patient standpoint. Post-op and recovery have been absolutely pain free. On a scale of 0-10, with 10 being the worst, my pain level has been a zero (0). From start to finish it has been an very easy process and Dr. Press and his staff have been great. I highly recommend Dr. Press if you have shoulder pain.
