Dr. Daniel Eli Penn, MD

I mixed up my appointment dates and needed to be seen urgently. The staff was amazing about getting me in within hours. I had seen him a couple years ago and the care and attention was wonderful. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. I have severe anxiety in medical offices and he still puts me at ease. Would definitely recommend.

I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis about two yeArs ago and was having a pretty rough time with it. I was having some issues with my then current gastroenterologist when i met Dr. Penn who provided me with very helpful information about my medical situation. He has been my doctor now for about 7 months and i always feel cared about by him and his wonderful staff. He is very thorough and always answers any questions or concerns had by me or my family. I would recommend Dr. Penn to anyone having medical issues. I am so grateful to him and his associates.

My visit to the Shands Medical Plaza yesterday was an unexpectedly pleasant one. I had a 1pm appointment which I arrive 20 minutes early for and I was called back by the nurse before 1pm even arrived. My blood pressure, weight, and temperature were recorded before I was escorted into an examination room. Up to this point the process went very quickly and smoothly. Probably a total of 10 minutes. I waited in the examination room for about 5 minutes before Dr. Daniel E. Penn came into the room. He is a fellow of Dr. Moshiree. He was very firendly and polite. He asked me many questions and preformed my physical exam. Dr. Penn was fantastic! I felt super comfortable and he took his time to explain everything that was going to happen, the results of his findings, and possible outcomes of what to expect next. Dr. Moshiree came into the room shortly thereafter to confer with Dr. Penn about his initial findings and to draft a plan of action for me. They both spoke to me very professionally and… answered every single one of my questions. We even joked and laughed a little bit - I find this to be of serious significance and importance when talking about specialty doctors. They made me feel confident that they knew what they were talking about; I'd describe a symptom and they would understand not only what I was talking about but give me a reason for why that could be happening and then a plan for what tests they were going to run to determine if that was in fact the case. Dr. Penn and Dr. Moshiree are excellent to work with. They are competent, experienced, friendly, and have an approach I would recommend to anyone if they needed to have a GI problem diagnosed. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!
