Dr. Dae Y. Lee, DPM

Dae Yong Lee, DPM, is Assistant Director, Podiatric Medical Education at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Orthopedic Surgery at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Lee has a clinical focus in the conservative and surgical management of foot disorders, with a focus on limb salvage, diabetic foot care, and foot and ankle wound management.After completing his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry at SUNY Stony Brook University, Dr. Lee pursued his medical education at New York College of Podiatric Medicine, earning his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 2015. He then pursued postgraduate training at Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital, completing his podiatric medicine and surgical residency in 2018, including a reconstructive rearfoot and ankle certification.Dr. Lee’s research focuses on infection management and wound care, with his work shared through peer-reviewed journals, oral presentations and poster presentations.Dr. Lee is board certified by the American Board …of Podiatric Medicine. He is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Association and the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons, among others.
