Dr. Dahlia Plummer, MD

Waited over an hour in the exam room for Dr. Plummer to show up. No one provided any updates, I had to poke my head out into the hallway after 45 minutes and ask if she was still coming. When she finally barged into the room (no knock), she didn’t even acknowledge me by name, say hello, anything. She took one 5-second look at me (no physical exam whatsoever) and told me I needed to lose weight - in a very condescending way. When I told her I was there for an official diagnosis of lipedema (which had already been affirmed by many other healthcare providers, but needed a vascular doctor’s confirmation) and to be sure there were no other serious vascular issues, she loudly talked over me and completely ignored what I was saying (which included the fact that I’d been working out, eating healthy, and seeing a nutritionist for years). Before I could ask a single question, she abruptly turned around and walked out. I don’t think she looked me in the eye or listened to a word I said during… the entire 3-MINUTE visit. I’d been waiting for over 8 months for the appointment. In short, Dr. Plummer was incredibly rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. If you want a doctor who actually cares about your health, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. She is clearly in the wrong profession.

I left her office confident that I was getting excellent care and was pleased to make her acquaintance. She listens well and participates in the conversation so that she may understand better. I wish more doctors were like her.

There is nothing good that I have to say about this doctor. A family member of mine was a patient of hers and she has had nothing but problems with her legs after she went to her. She did a procedure on her legs that was not supposed to be done even a doctor in the same practice told this family member that the procedure should have never been done. Now her legs are swollen beyond belief and she can only be on her feet for a short period of time and it's very hard for her to walk. I don't recommend that anyone go to this doctor because I would hate for someone that you care about or love very much like a family member go through what mine did.
