Dr. Dahna Leiser Goldberg, MD

I had endometrial ablation done with this doc. I can’t state enough just how miserable she made this for me. For someone suffering from menorrhagia, my cycles were AWFUL and I KNEW I didn’t want to have kids, so this was my hopeful fix. Not only did she ask me very inappropriate questions about who was going to take care of me later in life if I didn’t have kids, and acting, visibly annoyed by my replies, she also let me know that I was going to regret this down the line (I haven’t and it’s been 7 wonderful years since) and also failed to mention she’d be doing a biopsy when I was having my sonogram done, which was extremely painful. I really felt like she was punishing me for deciding to not have kids. I know that sounds extreme, but unless you were there… The cherry on top was when I arrived at the hospital to go under anesthesia. There was a long wait because the anesthesiologist was running behind. When he finally administered the anesthesia, Dr. Goldberg was at my bedside and let… me know as I was feeding that the rep from the wand for the procedure wanted to sit in on the procedure, and she did not ask me for permission, or have me sign off on it. The lack of respect I felt from her and her disdain for my decisions stick with me. I will never come back here and will advise everyone else to stay away. And for those wondering, it’s been 7 years without a cycle and I’m happy as a clam, despite her claims that this “won’t help with my symptoms”. When she said that, the sonographer was in the room, and when she walked out, the sonographer told me that she didn’t even know why the doctor said that because this does help many women. Lastly, proceed with much caution as they “operate under a catholic umbrella” and their beliefs shine through. Wish I’d known that beforehand and gone elsewhere.

Dr. Dahna Goldberg listened to my concerns and addressed them appropriately. She is kind, knowledgeable and competent physician.

While my yearly exam all she was talking about is my insurance company and if it will pay my pap smear test. I think this is strange because I found this doctor through my insurance company.
