Daisy Chin, MD

I tried to get an appointment with Dr. Chin for my son as a new patient. Her office would not even book the appointment until I had x-rays done (they won't prescribe the x-rays I had to go to my pediatrician to have him prescribe), a consult script from my pediatrician even though my health plan does not require referrals and a growth chart. All had to be received in advance and they refuse allow email -- fax only. They claimed the no email was for HIPAA compliance but HIPAA has no such rules about receiving PHI from patients. Even worse, she only sees new patients during the week between 8:30 and 1:00 p.m. (which of course I only was told after gathering all the pre-requisites) -- so my son would have to miss school to have the pleasure of seeing the doctor. After weeks of trying to make this work, I finally walked, went a new endocrinologist with Summit Medical Group who made the appointment easily without any ridiculous requirements. And -- guess what, they use email. At… my job, we are all about the customer - Dr. Chin and Atlantic Health should take a lesson.

Dr Chin is an outstanding physician. Her bedside manner is the best of the best. She is amazing with my son and so very knowledgeable and helpful. She is very proactive.

Dr. Chin is a very knowledgable and compassionate doctor. She is truly interested in her patients and takes the time to get to know them as a full person. She relates well to children of all ages. My daughter has being seeing her from the ages of 10 through 18 and is very comfortable with her. She plans to continue seeing her through her college years.

My daughter started to see Dr. Chin since last April. Dr. Chin was very nice. She not only carefully made medical decision, but also provided psychological support to my daughter. Dr. Chin also communicated with my daughter through emails to monitor the progress of disease and guide the medications.My daughter's disease has since improved significantly.

Dr Chin has treated my daughter since 2005, her caring professionalism has made an enormous impact on all our lives.
