Dr. Dale J Brent, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Dale friends for over 15 years and he is one of the best doctors that I’ve ever met besides the fact that he has wonderful bedside manner he actually listens to what you say he’s not one of those doctors who is rude and cold when I’m in the hospital he comes by and visit and checks on me make sure everything‘s good he’s gone above and beyond I would highly recommend him.

ok so on my first visit my initial impression was he’s a pretty nice guy with terribly rude assistants. on my second visit my opinion of him changed and my opinion of his assistants got even worse. i’m going to break down my reasoning for finding a new physician and why i think you should steer clear of dale brent and his assistants. like i said the first visit wasn’t all that bad. dale was nice enough and because I’m a reasonable person i gave his assistant the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe she was just having a bad day. after the second visit things took a turn i went to see dale about my severe depression issues. to start though, his rudest assistant needed to take my weight and enter my vitals or blood pressure or whatever they do, into the system. when dale came in to check she hadn’t entered the info and they basically got into an argument in front of me which was super unprofessional on multiple levels. anyways on to the actual reason i’m there. i’ll admit i do my… best to hide it but i am very prone to depression. and at the time of my second visit i was going through a particularly rough time so i decided to give anti depressants a try. i opened up to dale, something that is very hard for me to do and he sort of chuckled and said “you don’t look like your depressed.” after a bit of convincing i got him to reluctantly prescribe me zoloft but his attitude about it was almost like he didn’t believe in mental health. it was extremely disconcerting to say the least. but i got prescribed zoloft (50mg) and they really helped stabilize my mood. fast forward a few months and the meds weren’t working as good as they were when I had started. a friend of mine was surprised i was on such a small dosage and suggested i request my dosage be increased to 100mg daily so i called the office to ask about it. one of his assistance answered the phone and said that she would talk to dale and call me back right away. two days passed and i still hadn’t received a call so i called again. she answers the phone with attitude doesn’t apologize and says she’ll ask him now and call me back. another day goes by and at this point I’m kind of peeved so i call again and finally get a confirmation that my dosage will be increased. i go to pick up my prescription. at this point I should’ve been wise to the amount of mistakes that this office is capable of making and I should’ve double checked my dosage but I didn’t and that’s on me partially. instead of increasing my dosage to 1 100mg pill per day as discussed. it was decreased to a 25mg pill with a note that said take 3 daily. (for a total of 75mg) you might see the issue already but yeah for about a week and a half I was taking one pill per day thinking they were 100mg each AS DISCUSSED when in fact i was only taking 25mg. so unknowingly i was essentially off my meds for a week and a half. here’s my problem though. even if i had followed the label they still prescribed me with 75mg when we had agreed on 100mg. fast forward another two months or so and my prescription is still at 75mg even though i’ve requested it be 100mg. i go to pick up my latest prescription and right away it seems light. so i check the notes on the label and it’s been lowered to 25mg daily. this morning i called and with all the attitude they could muster they refused to take responsibility for the dosage mistake and interrupted me mid sentence to try and say i never requested my dosage be increased to 100mg because it wasn’t on file and they didn’t have any recollection of it. well i’m sorry honey but i have already experienced first hand you forgetting to log info and you forgetting to call me back twice so your data logging skills are compromised and so is your memory. and also why would it have been increased from 50mg to 75mg if i had never requested an increase. like come on lady, your insulting my intelligence at this point. worst doctors office i’ve ever been to.

I have been patient for. Brent for 10 years. He has seen me thru multiple surgeries and most recently diagnosed a life threatening illness. I literally owe Dr. Brent my life. He is the best.

Dr. Dale Brent is a wonderful doctor; an excellent diagnostician. I recently saw him for a pre-op workup. He has a talented staff (even able to draw blood quickly and painlessly from my rubbery little veins) and remarkably lovely antique and art filled offices. I highly recommend Dr. Brent.
