Dr. Dale Alan Hanson, MD

A few front end receptionist are good and the rest will give you a terrible time trying to refill scripts and helping you with getting an appointment . I've been going for 19 years and they have became so bad that I'm switching doctors for this reason.

Dr. Hansen was kind and attentive. He took his time to listen to me. I am fortunate to be a patient of his. Be prepared to wait to see him, but the wait seems worth the time...

Dr. Hanson is by far the kindest, most knowledgeable, understanding, and compassionate doctor I have encountered (and I work in the medical field)!! He truly takes the time to listen to you. He just doesn’t come in, half a** listen and then leave, no....he is engaged in the conversation as to why your seeing him. He is extremely smart!! Yes you may have to wait a bit to see him, but so worth it!!! I highly, highly recommend him to everyone. Best doctor hands down!!

Dr Hanson is a very good doctor. However, the wait time for an appointment is just ridiculous. The earliest the wait has been for me has been one hour, the longest, just over three hours. On most occasions the wait is between 2 and 2 and a half hours. When you sign in, the staff will give you no indication of what the wait will be, even when they know your going to have over a two hour wait. After sitting in the waiting room for ever, you then get placed in an exam room, where you guessed it, you have to wait forever before he comes into the room. If you have a busy schedule, it is just plain too difficult to clear enough hours in the day for a visit to Dr Hanson. Most doctor offices will drop you a text or leave a phone message to let you know when you need to schedule your annual check up. Even my vet drops me a reminder that it is time to take my dog in for his check up. So if you are on regular medication, keep track of when you need to schedule your physicals. The office… staff will not let you know that you are overdue until you need a refill on your meds. Then you have to try to get in for a check up, which usually takes a month. If your test results are bad, you will get a prompt call from the nurse. However, if they are good, but you just want to know what your cholesterol levels are, you have to call and call and call before you can get in touch with the nurse. The exam room walls are so thin that you can hear every word uttered by the patient in the next room and they can hear you. Finally, the office is in a high crime area, so lock your car doors. So even though Dr Hanson is very good, these other factors have led me to lower the rating from five stars.

He does have a long wait time and it takes a week to get in (if it's not an emergency). But when it's your turn to be seen, he takes his time with you and your concerns. He is very knowledgeable and thorough. I would recommend him to anybody, as long as you're not in a hurry. There's a reason why he has so many patients!

Dr. Hanson is a good doctor, but his wait time is 2 hours or more. He spends too much time telling jokes, rambling on and not addressing the problem fast enough. This accounts for the long wait times. Also takes a very long time for them to call you on test results. I went through my Quest account and printed my last blood work results. One test shows I need my medication lowered and has been causing problems with my health. Still waiting on his office to call. It is not acceptable to have (at least) two-hour wait times. I will be changing doctors!

Dr Hanson is a really good Doctor. He also has a really nice Nurse Practicioner. Both listen to you as a patient to what you have to say.

Best doctor I've ever known. He really knows his stuff!

Don't go to him if you need to get in and out fast. He cares to much about people so he usually runs a little over on time dealing with their concerns. They will also try to squeeze you in on short notice. His knowledge is vast and he explains things without being preaching. Hardest working man I know. Worth the wait to me. His knowledge is priceless. Must do something right always has a full waiting room.
