Dr. Dale Glenn Schaefer, MD

I believe Dr Shafer to be the only (and I mean this) Doctor who cares enough for my wellbeing than any other doctor I know. He's wonderful! He's kind! He's smart! And very good looking!

As a fellow physician, I can recommend Dr. Schaeffer without reservation. Wait times are reasonable to see a first class dermatologist.

Dale is a very solid, exceptionally smart Doctor who listens to his patients. The downside to that is that his schedule is crowded ... and wait times tend to lengthen as the day goes on.

If you are looking for a doctor that spins time on you, he is the one.I have gone to him for many years and he is great.

Dr. Schaefer is a great doc. I have been going to his office since he was down in central Austin. Like any doctors office, if you schedule a mid-morning or mid-afternoon plan on waiting. Its the nature of the game. His nurse can be nice or not-so-nice. My last visit had me upset with his office staff since they failed to tell me I would need to obtain my own referral to their office. I showed up and had to sign a waiver to be seen. That aside I will continue to see Dr. Schaefer until he decides to retire.

I have been seeing Dr. Schaefer since I was about 16 years old and if you care to count, that is about 17 of his 23 years in practice. At first I would have recommended him to anyone! However, that started to change about 5-10 years ago. Appointment wait times started slipping from 15 minutes up to 45 and sometimes more. Time he actually spent in the room dropped considerable. Then add in the office staff...VERY unfriendly. You just get the impression that no one really wants to be there. But I have overlooked those things because I trusted him as a doctor, but recently I have even begun to question his diagnosis and care. It is like his heart just is not in it anymore. Top it off with the most unhelpful, very rude and kind of shady accounting/billing ladieswell, I am done. Off to read reviews on other dermatologists, there HAS to be something better out there!
