Dr. Dale Christian Strasser, MD

Dr. Strasser likes to talk down to patients instead of to the patient, rude every answer always ended with I have over 25 years of experience, negative demeanor from the first time meeting him to the last visit where he put on an act in front of the Supervisor and Case Manager who were of no assistance to me. Dr. Strasser refused to listen acted nervous and late couldn't get out of my room fast enough most of the time the intern would not even be present and when he was he was a true mini Strasser. The staff was worse that the doctor but the Nursing staff, Tech staff, Therapy staff, Cleaning services, and Kitchen made the hospital bearable. I have Acute Transverse Myelitis and Multiple Myeloma stage 4. I met the CEO Chris who stated that he was the boss of the Case Manager and her Supervisor because I wanted to stay 7 to 10 days I believe that I would have been able to walk short distances with my walker. But not one person from the CEO to Dr. Strasser to the Case Manager would even… try to assist. In fact the doctor said he saw no reason to keep me even though I had to keep on at him to have my foot ex-ray to find out it had a fracture. I personally feel that the doctor needs to resign, Supervisor Reed, my Case Manager the entire staff should be fired and replaced with people who follow through and have empathy for the individuals that are in the hospital. Since I was told it was the ICU of the skilled nursing and I no longer needed that although I had 2 terminal ill diseases a broken foot. They told me that although I pushed myself in therapy it didn't matter that they needed me to go and offered me a gift card to a grocery store if I would take that money out of my grocery money and add it to the cost of being transported by a service home. So no I would never recommend this Rehabilitation Hospital to anyone while this staff is still employed. And yes I did ask for another case manager but the Supervisor decided to take my case personally.

My husband was helped tremendously, and seemingly so easy and efficient and professional. Great Doctor in great Emory!

Love this man. He's the most caring and attentive physician I have ever seen. Yes, he may run behind on appointment times but it's because he spends so much time with each patient. He truly cares about his patients.
