I woke up five times during my colonoscopy in pain he is very unfriendly unprofessional I do not recommend this doctor he will not return your calls I didn't get results for nine days after for calls to the office

He is ok . Lady at front desk Angela Not very friendly.

I’ve been through a colonoscopy before with no discomfort at all. But just experienced the worst colonoscopy with Dr. Thomae. During the procedure l asked him to stop, but he refused. Afterwards I was told that I was not given enough medication for the procedure. Now, don’t you think if a patient is suffering, you would stop and administer more meds to make the procedure more comfortable. No, I was held down and told to just breath. Sorry, that doesn’t work! I’m still in disbelief that this happened. I do not recommend Dr. Thomae.

I had been going to Dr Thomae for over ten years,he was a good doctor ,well so I thought,but since he’s became the county coroner he’s gone downhill fast.I went to the ER for ischemic colitis and he was the only GI doc that is how he became my doctor.I ended up with diverticulosis and had many Er visits and he told me I had to live with it.On the last colonoscopy he did I had inflammation and givin nothing for it and he me told I had to live with it.Well went to a different Er and Was admitted and that doctor couldn’t even get in so had a bowel resection 18” took out and feel so much better.This doctor is a joke talks down to people,acts like he’s on something in laa laa land.I was living a miserable life under his so called care.Stay away.

Dr. Thomae prescribed a Rx for restless leg syndrome that I did not realize was addictive(clonopin). Within a short period of time I realized that I had to have it and that it had side effects. Thomae said it didn't have any side effects and would give me samples of other medicines that I would NOT take that were also addictive. I requested Requip because I thought it would help me better. He rudely said, "That won't help you." I tried to go through withdrawal by tapering off over a period of months to no avail. He approved an increase in the dosage.I was going through withdrawals twice a day. I saw his partner and asked for an MRI to rule out any other factors(a previous doctor said I had MS). She thought this was a good idea. If it showed nothing I was prepared to get to the bottom of it. My MRI was good and I wanted to switch to her BUT Dr. Thomae said I could not due to "continuation of care." He told me he was leaving his practice. I did not know he was being sued at this time. I… wanted all of my records so that I would have them for myself. I paid the required amount and kept getting a small sample of my records. I insisted I wanted them all-even from my previous doctor who had been his partner. Thomae said he did not have them. I went to the office of the previous doc who insisted he was given them all. Upon reading through my file I found some inaccuracies- the most glaring was a diagnosis of "panic attacks that were worsening." I have NEVER had a panic attack! I checked myself into a rehab facility and spent 8 MONTHS recuperating. I was physiologically addicted- I do not have an addictive personality. It was excruciating and I am sure it was detrimental to my career. He is a liar and a wolf in sheep's clothing. I believe an office worker was helping him in his deceitfulness. Beware! I no longer have RLS and have been healthy ever since!

I have had a lot of GI problems over the years. Dr. Thomae has been the very best GI specialist that I have ever had for my extensive problems. I have been to The Mayo Clinic and The Cleveland Clinic without improvement in my condition. Dr. Thomae helped me so much and continues to help me. I am so glad that I found him.I am an RN who is very involved in a partnership approach with my healthcare provider. Dr. Thomae is very open to working with me but I always feel that his advice has been the best for my conditions.
