Dr. DeMordaunt received a bachelor's degree in zoology from Brigham Young University Provo, Utah, and a medical degree from The George Washington University Medical School, Washington, D.C. He completed a residency at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System and an internal medicine internship at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

A father of four, Dr. DeMordaunt enjoys spending time with family, traveling, playing tennis, skiing, swimming and hiking. He is actively involved with his church community and assists local high schools as a sideline physician, a role he previously held for Virginia Commonwealth University.
