Dr. Dalton Jane Mackay, MD

Things have definitely changed at this office over the last few years...for the worse.?? Staff is constantly changing, so that is the first red flag. Many staff members have been less than competent and I am always hopeful when a new one starts, that things will improve, but that has not been the case. Hypertension is listed as one of the areas treated, and blood pressures are taken on each patient at each visit, yet the assistants who take the blood pressure don’t know how!! They just write down a random number around 120/70! Honest! Then if you ask Dr Mackay to take it, the result is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! The front desk REALLY pushes patients to see the new Nurse Practioner, rather than Dr Mackay. Please DON’T!! She can’t even tell you how long she has worked as a nurse, when you ask her ??. She won’t directly address anything, looks at you with a blank stare, like she doesn’t really know what she is doing. Displays no confidence at all. Perhaps she can’t tell you how long… she has WORKED as a nurse because it is very minimal. Any real nurse can tell you exactly how long they have worked as a nurse! Dr Mackay has a pleasant personality, but I have to wonder about her judgment and medical knowledge if she would have people like this working around her. She wants to blame it on the corporation, but.. She won’t address any issues. She has the unprofessional, incompetent office staff do that. I realize our medical care has gone downhill in the last “8 years” but there are better doctor offices out there. Do yourself a favor, and find one of those.

I have found that Dr. Mackay always has the time to listen, evaluate , and then inform me when I have been in her office for any medical needs. I have discovered that she has been an excellent evaluator of the symptoms that I presented to her, and she has always given me her time and attention so that when I left her office I felt as though I was already on my way to a healthier life.

Dr Mackay is a very caring and competent doctor. She works with you to manage your well being. She listens to you and educates you so you can make the best decisions. Her office staff is friendly, caring, helpful too. Just a great experience.

Dr. Dalton has a sweet bedside manor. She was very thorough. Her staff followed up with me within a few days (it was over a weekend) with test results and referrals.

I have been a patient of Dr. MacKay's now for over 3 years. In fact my husband and daughter see here as well. She's so attentive and considerate. She genuinely listens and give me the attention and care that I want and deserve in a Doctor. She is exceptional and extrodnary, that is not easy to find anymore. Also, I love the coffee bar in the waiting room!! Yes!!

Dr. Mackay is an extraordinary physician and person. In one of my first visits several years ago she said, "I will take care of you the rest of your life." At 61 that is still quite I while I hope. That attitude shows in everything she does. I also like the patient portal. I can actually communicate with the doctor on questions or follow-up without an appointment. I highly recommend her and the practice.

I have been a patient of Dr. MacKay at Castle Rock Family Care for 3 years now. What I appreciate most is whenever I visit the office with a medical issue, Dr. MacKay immediately seeks out a solution. She's great at offering treatment options as a result of her understanding of my health concerns. Also, the staff is very welcoming and pleasant from the start of the visit through the end.

Never returns a phone call, Erin inept, flunkie that called to refill prescription asked me what the prescription was because that information was on another screen... Horrible, Horrible, Horrible patient care! It's all about the $$$$$!

I had to switch providers after 14 years with the same clinic. Dr. MacKay was fantastic! She made me feel so comfortable and was very helpful and attentive to my needs.

I arrived 1 hour early for my appointment, and was seen within 5 minutes of my arrival. I've had Dr. Mackay as my primary care physician for about six years, and she is wonderful.
