Dr. Damacio Pagan-Rodriguez, MD

I recently had the worst experience with **Dr. Damacio Pagan Rodriguez, MD - Medical Director**, and I urge anyone considering an appointment with him to reconsider. He was dismissive, unprofessional, and completely uninterested in my concerns. I went in for help with severe skin sensitivity and excruciating hand pain, requesting a referral to a dermatologist since my insurance requires one and he didn’t know what was causing it. Not only did he refuse to provide the referral, but he also mocked me throughout the appointment. He repeatedly told me his "professional medical advice" was to buy over-the-counter cream like Gold Bond, as if that would cure my hypersensitivity and pain. When I questioned this, he became visibly upset and laughed at me for not believing him. He even scratched his own skin to show it gets slightly red, mocking my condition. I gently touched my own skin to show him how red and swollen it becomes, but he refused to take it seriously or even look. His behavior… left me in shock. This was by far the most disrespectful and unhelpful encounter I’ve ever had with a doctor. If you value your time, health, or money, avoid this doctor at all cost.

He advised he had no idea what’s causing it. I asked for a referral to a dermatologist, as my insurance requires it for further testing, but he refused. Instead, he laughed at me and insisted that everyone’s skin becomes inflamed with a simple touch. He told me to "get used to it" and flat-out denied the referral, claiming there was nothing a dermatologist could do. This was especially upsetting because writing a referral costs him nothing and would allow me to seek answers for my health issues. Now, I need to find a new primary care provider who will take me seriously and provide the referral I need to pursue proper care. His "professional advice"? Purchase over-the-counter… cream like Gold Bond or CeraV. He treated my condition like a joke, laughing multiple times and even demonstrating how his skin also turns slightly red when scratched—though my skin, in comparison, was bright red and swollen with even the gentlest touch. Despite showing him how extreme my reaction was, he continued to downplay my symptoms and brush me off. This was by far the most useless and disrespectful encounter I’ve ever had with a doctor. If you value your time, health, or money, avoid this doctor at all costs.

Dr Pagan is the best Doctor ever, very patient and always go above and beyond to help, I highly recommend this Doctor to every one

I have been living in Orlando about 19 years and, this is the first time I've been treated with courtesy and accuracy. Dr. Pagan is very a very good professional. I'll never change my Doctor anymore. And I recommend him to all who wants to have an excellent Doctor as a primary care.

I have been patient at Orlando Family for 4 years until now, and, the only Physician I see is Dr. Pagan, he is excellent, always explains all my labs, take care of my medication, always have time to listen. Do not go other Doctor. He is the best 100%. If he goes to another clinic, I'll follow him anywhere. For sure
