Damaris Monzon is an outstanding healthcare provider. She is professional, knowledgeable, and truly cares about her patients and their families. She takes the time to listen, explains everything clearly, and makes patients feel comfortable during every visit. Her compassion, dedication, and attention to detail are exceptional. I highly recommend Damaris Monzon to anyone looking for excellent neurological care for their child.

I would like to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for my son’s nurse practitioner, Damaris Sanchez Monzon Aguirre. She consistently goes above and beyond in every aspect of his care. From the very beginning, she has been compassionate, attentive, and truly dedicated to his well-being. What stands out the most is how proactive and resourceful she is. She not only provides excellent treatment plans tailored to his needs, but she also takes the time to explain everything clearly and make sure I feel confident in the decisions being made. She is always willing to offer helpful resources and follows through to ensure those plans are effective. Her level of care, professionalism, and genuine concern make a significant difference in our lives. I am incredibly grateful to have her as part of my son’s care team, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate nurse practitioner.

Ms Monzón-Aguirre has no bedside manners. Apparently she has done tge same things with other people. After reading the 1 star reviews i totally identified with their reviews. It seems that she has a pattern of 1- canceling appointments with no reasonable alternative. 2- makes decisions based on personal opinion rather than professional. I think nurse practitioners should go back to nursing and spare patients their personal views. 3- she refused to fill the forms for my autistic son to get an hha for his special needs. My son is autistic and highly ADHD. Only parents with similar kids will understand the needs for an hha. Its a 24 hours duty. After her repeated and insulting behavior i left her practice and changed to a wonderful doctor that respects and supports his patients

Damaris is an exceptional provider. Takes time to listen and also to help you navigate through all the changes your child might experience. I wouldn’t change providers ever.

I would like to formally express my concerns regarding the recent evaluation conducted by Dr. Monzón-Aguirre. During this appointment, I felt that my concerns as a parent were not acknowledged, and the information provided by my child’s teachers, speech therapist, and behavioral therapist was not taken into consideration. These professionals work with my child daily and have firsthand knowledge of her needs, yet their evaluations were disregarded. Dr. Monzón-Aguirre also stated that ABA therapy is exclusively for children with autism and that utilizing an RBT is “putting a Band-Aid” on the issue. This is inaccurate and dismissive. RBT stands for Registered Behavior Technician, and their role is not limited to autism. RBT support can be beneficial for children with behavioral, attention, and emotional regulation needs. It is a structured and evidence-based service—not a temporary or inadequate solution. Additionally, I was told to consider a different school placement for my child… without any acknowledgment of my family’s circumstances. My child currently attends a private school that accepts RBT support, is willing to collaborate, and offers the flexibility my work schedule requires. This stability is extremely important for my child’s progress. Suggesting that I “make sacrifices,” including the implication that I should give up my job, fails to consider that my income is what provides our rent, food, and overall necessities. I do not have the level of support or privilege that was assumed during this appointment. It is also important to note that my child behaves differently depending on the environment. She is selective about showing her true personality around people she does not know. The quiet and timid behavior observed during a short evaluation does not accurately reflect her behavior in school, at home, or in other familiar settings. Like many children with hyperactivity, she may present differently depending on the environment. The RBT’s role is essential: • to help prevent aggressive outbursts toward herself or others, • to help her stay focused, • to keep her safely in her seat, • and to ensure she remains engaged in her academic tasks. This is not a “Band-Aid.” It is necessary support tailored to her real-life needs. For these reasons, I believe the evaluation lacked fairness, thoroughness, and cultural awareness.

Damaris does not have bedside manners with patients. She has canceled long awaited appiintments and left us with no acceptable alternatives. Many times the prescriptions and prior approvals are delayed for several days even weeks. When we ask for insurance forms or services we are denied. I do not recommend her to be your child caregiver at all. I am currently finding another alternative
