Dr. Damian S Silbermins, MD

This physician was my father’s oncologist. I’m not putting his education and knowledge in doubt but his bedside manner is the worst I’ve ever seen. When my father’s cancer metastasized and he delivered the news there was nothing else they could do, he talked to my Dad as if he was nothing. And I will never, ever forget it. This was not the first instance of that poor attitude. On more than one occasion he seemed to take offense when we would have questions for him. One day he might become sick and when he does, I certainly hope he gets a doctor who treats him better than he treated my Dad.

bedside manner is awful. Arrogant and does NOT like to be questioned. Always hurried and wants to keep you coming back for trivial office visits. I didn’t need his services and am elated for many reasons. He did many unnecessary tests. I genuinely question his skill.

Dr. Silbermins is the most diligent, comprehensive and compassionate physician I have ever seen. He really cares about his patients and pays attention to the details of the patients chart. If there is a question or concern, he will take action. Huntington is fortunate to have him.

Was very dissatisfied on what I found to be limited knowledge he has for rare cancer like I have. In my opinion, he doesn't like to be challenged or questioned by patients. Twice he told me I no longer had the cancer I was originally diagnosed with. Did not do the correct testing (done periodically) to show the aggression of the cancer. He actually argued with me that I showed no signs of the cancer until I brought to his attention that less than half of the testing was done and then he blamed radiology! When I had that same test done else where I showed several markers of the cancer! I found him very condescending, egotistical, and sometimes hateful especially (again) when questioned and/or I knew more than he did about my cancer. I'm glad others had a good experience with him. I'm sure he's a good doctor with most cancers and patients who do not question him, but not with mine or me...good luck and God bless all who's fighting these nasty cancers!

Excellent Doctor. Very caring and just wants to help you or cure you, if possible. He cured me.

It has been almost a year since I first had my diagnosis with Dr. Silbermins. He was diligent in finding out what caused my illness, and of course a cure. He taught me how to also be dilligent about my health and to take it serious. I found out he did have a wonderful bedside manner, and truly cares about his patients. He saved my life, and continues to. I am thankful that I was able to be seen by him and his staff, they are top notch ! KUDOS to Dr. Silbermins !!
