Dr. Damian Walter Sorvino, MD

To preface, this is the first negative review I have ever provided a doctor because it was THAT bad. I wish I looked at reviews before I went to this doctor because they are so accurate. The Doctor: This doctor will tell you there is nothing wrong with you and it is "in your head, and sometimes people just hear things and you need to try to ignore it". Now I need to see another physician because my condition is worsening and I can barely hear out of my ear. Also, this doctor will include additional charges to your appointment (that are expensive and basic, ergo, ear wax removal for $162) without informing you first that they will be an additional charge until you get the bill. I can do ear wax removal for $5 from CVS, this man will nickel and dime you without even telling you. The Staff: When I called to try to remove this $162 ear wax removal charge from my bill, I was met with snark and disdain. Ellen Johnson from the billing department will first tell you that "the doctor does not… do the billing so he cant remove the charge" and in the same breath tell you "that the doctor does the billing so we need to bill based on what he says". Make it make sense. Also, when you try to fight the $162 ear wax removal charge, they will "terms and conditions" you by saying that you signed a document that says somewhere in fine print that some procedures will be an additional cost (but don't include the costs on the paper, nor the "specific instrumentation the doctor uses which forces him to bill this "procedure" (its not a procedure its shooting water in your ear which my PCP does for free)". And finally, when I tried to work with Ellen to find a solution to this billing concern - she told me "well you could just not pay it" - and when I clarified by saying, "you mean let my credit score go to zero" - she said yeah!". tldr; do not go here they are dishonest, don't care about your medical concerns, only care about money, and will tell you there is nothing wrong likely with the intention of having you come back when it gets worse so they can charge you again

Dr. Sorvino is knowledgable, personable, and extremely good at what he does. The care and attention to detail was great - and the clarity with which he explains things is fantastic. Good ENTs are a very rare breed, and this one is among the best. I can recommend him unconditionally.

Dr. Sorvino performed my nose surgery almost 2 years ago, and I am so thankful. He did an amazing job, and it improved my breathing so much. Choosing Dr. Sorvino was one of the best decisions I made... he made the entire process very comfortable and answered all of the questions I had to ease my nerves.

Dr. Sorvino and his staff gave me excellent care for my procedure. They were just wonderful. I would highly recommend Dr. Sorvino to anyone.

Office staff, particularly Pat the surgical coordinator, could use more training as they are often rude or ignore you when you are in the office. Pat often does not return calls. Expect to take a whole day off work as I have waited over an hour several times past my appointment time. Once I waited an hour and 45 minutes and that is unacceptable! The doctor is great but his office needs work!

In my 45 years of life,I have been so many doctors. But have NEVER seen a bad guy like Sorvino. Dr. Sorvino will never spend more than 1 minute with the patient, he wouldn't care if all your questions are answered. He will always rush-up and try to get you out of his office. I would not recommend this guy even to my worst enemy...

I can't get a call back from anyone in the office to get a follow up appoint. Poor office management!!
