Dr. Damon Bradley Raskin, MD

Raskin is the most caring doctor that I have ever had the pleasure to work with, He remembers things about your family, friends and future hopes. Raskin has an uncanny bedside manner that allows one to be comforted but still feel that you are in the best hands. Do not look to other places. Go to raskin. Also, do not be thrown off by his PAs and front staff, they are worth dealing with just to be under raskins care, but they arent the best themselves.

HOLD ON TO YOUR WALLET: All I wanted to do was send a follow up visit photo and Asked for the doctors email... Two weeks ago I called with a sudden bad dual eye infection from Carbuncle boils staph infection. Unfortunately, Ellen Corn, the physicians assistant (PA) came in instead of me insisting on seeing a real doctor, Dr Raskin, who I had originally asked for. I paid a $65 co-pay and showed Ellen in a PHYSICAL OFFICE VISIT the infection that were in both eyes. I also showed her other boils that were clearing up or just popping out. I showed her each of these but told her I felt like I had a handle on treating them and didn't want the internal antibiotic she had recommended just yet. I requested that we just address my eyes. I do NOT like taking antibiotics as my health was ruined for 40 years from over zealous doctors at USC when I was a teen athlete there. I told her I would call if the other boils became a problem, which within a week one did become a problem and I did call… back. The office insisted that I come back for another $65 office visit and I said no, I have already paid an office visit and the doctor saw this and I would like to get the antibiotic. They did not know which antibiotic to prescribe so I suggested one that my mother had taken for something that was similar. Her doctor had given her 20 pills. Dr. Raskin's office gave me 14 pills, which were not enough. I called the doctors Office today and requested their email address as I wanted to send them a current photo and letter about the updated WORSE condition of the carbuncle Boil on my leg that got completely out of control. I feel I need more antibiotics. One of my chiropractors said that it was MRSA staph infection and needed three antibiotics. THE OFFICE REFUSED TO GIVE ME AN EMAIL TO SEND THE PHOTOS and instead said to use outdated FAX machine to send the photo! After I hung up irritated, my phone rang immediately and I told Brittany I was angry that I could not get an email address. Instead of listening to me, it became a lecture rather than a two way conversation, I hung up and I said don't worry, I will post the email and my message to you on social media. It's much more convenient for me to post here than send a fax to their office. During a Plandemic, all they care about the cash derived from $65 office visits and the commissions and bonuses obtained from prescriptions they write. If they did care about me, they would have been overjoyed that I was following up and showing them my progress. I explained to Brittany that $65 is a lot for me right now- two weeks of groceries at the 99 cent only store. If they REALLY CARED, they would be compassionate about my financial situation. Nope, give me the money! UPDATE: Lecturer and office manager Brittany called me back after I went online and got an email address on their website. She proceeded to lecture me, not participate in a two way conversation, regarding what SHE BELIEVED actually happened. She stated that I needed to come in and be seen or go to the emergency room. I tried to explain the incompetent PA gave me the wrong prescription for what I had and gave me too few pills, AFTER SEEING IT WITH HER OWN EYES. She said the PA didn't see cysts in the previous visit and that I called on the phone for a prescription. I tried numerous times to correct her inaccurate statements but she RUDELY said she wanted to finish her lecture before I was allowed to speak. I told her what she was saying was wrong several times and that I WAS seen for this condition in their office but that was HER STORY and she was sticking to it no matter what I said. You know what they say when you ASSuMe. I finally realized that this was a waste of my time listening to her boring lecture so I was forced to hang up. When you cannot participate in a two way conversation with your doctors office, what's the point of trying to interject the facts? How would you like this to be YOUR DOCTORS OFFICE? No warm and fuzzy here. From the minute you walk into the busy lobby, the machine of faceless staff members scurrying around, calling and being put on hold forever each time you call to the cold hearted staff who are all about the money snd making those appointments. It's truly sad this is what has become of our medical system. I guess that's why 30 years ago, I started looking into alternative medicine for my family's health. More compassion , caring doctors, real healing and less Big Pharma!

So far my experience with this place is meh. Raskin came in my first visit then I never saw him again, but the PA he left me with has been professional, kind, and prompt in returning my calls. However, I have had to deal with at least something petty, dumb, or unnecessary when dealing with the receptionists/front office staff; i.e. Brittney, Kimberly, Laura, etc. These ladies need a vacation because it’s obvious they’ve been working too long. They cut you off when you are trying to explain to them what it is that you’re calling about, and they like to believe that everything they know as a group is concrete, leaving no room for exceptions. For instance, when you try telling them that you were just on the phone with the pharmacy and reiterate what the pharmacist said, they tell you you’re wrong and that’s incorrect. Lol. Then they give you a heap of attitude and behave like children when you won’t let them talk down to you. Insane!! Can’t wait to be done with this place. Plus I… wouldn’t trust this place to keep you “clean” or get you off prescription drugs. Not all doctors care and not all doctors are good. Watch out for yourself and listen to your needs, don’t let some “addiction specialist” tell you you HAVE to stay on the drugs they tell you to take. The drugs they give you are just as addictive and bad for you as the ones you are trying to quit. Just be aware, and be.

Abnormal blood test results went un-noted for 3 years.

Office does not follow a Covid Protocol. Magazines on tables. Chairs right next to each other. No temperature taken prior to entering. Guess he is too busy writing for Palisades Post! Let’s his PA’s see patients. Would NOT recommend!

Dr. Raskin not only takes his concierge services very seriously, he cares deeply about his patients and their well-being. I have been a patient for 4.5 years now and have always received prompt care, a call from him with test results and a very individualized care plan for my needs. He’s an amazing doctor.

This doctor works as an addictionologist at several rehabs in Malibu, but on the outside, he gets people addicted to drugs.

If you think for a moment that signing up for Raskin's medical concierge service adds any value to you as a patient, you will be WRONG. Free clinics give better service. Unless of course you like being kept on hold at the non-existent private concierge telephone line. In addition, there is no such thing as him calling you back with test results and most of the time you see a Physicians assistant and not Raskin. Clearly the Concierge service is nothing more than an additional profit center for him.
