I Should have left when the nice lady who was there before me was insulted by his callous behavior and stormed out in disgust. I found out next that since I’m just the patient my symptoms weren’t “textbook symptoms” and he knew better than me what symptoms I’m supposed to have and basically blew me off to figure out my own diagnosis.

Our family was so fortunate to have our mother under the care of this excellent surgeon. He was able to remove her cancer and leave her bowels healthy and intact without a colostomy. He was patient in her healing process, and assisted her recovery with care and carefulness.

Dr. Giurgiu performed my surgery at Mercy Hospital last week. I have not been to his office, yet. He was courteous, respectful, friendly and, most importantly, an excellent surgeon. I would recommend him without hesitation. Dr. Giurgiu was recommended by my internist, Stefan Willging, M.D.

I had a hernia and Dr. Giurgiu and his staff handled it seamlessly. His staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. Dr. Giurgiu has a great attitude. He is informative, friendly, professional and an excellent surgeon. The surgical center he recommended was terrific as well, with a friendly, helpful--even fun staff. My procedure went smoothly and seamlessly in every aspect, from office visits to the surgery itself to the billing. I unequivocally recommend Dr. Giurgiu

Laparoscopic appendectomy 12 hours after I went to ER. General anesthesia. Used a Foley catheter without informing me and caused big problems. Nurses couldn't find any record of a catheter being used in OR and didn't know what was wrong so they cath-ed me again. More problems. Never saw the Dr in the hospital after the surgery. Did not leave adequate nursing orders so nurses could address post op pain. I felt he abandoned me and did more harm than he fixed. Never again.

I was rushed in with an appendicitis and Dr. Guirgui was assigned to my case. Although I could not pronounce his name, it turned out he was a great doctor. A couple days after removing my appendix, I was concerned about my medication and called his office. I pressed "contact doctor in an emergency" thinking I would get his voice mail and I was shocked when he actually answered the phone...two times! Now that's the kind of doctor you want! Thanks Dr. G!

Dr. Giurgiu did such a awesome job with my mother and the Emergency Appy she needed. I felt she was in great hands and never worried about bad outcomes. She did wonderful post op and is fiestier than ever! Not only has she lost that Appendix but he took her Gallbladder earlier this year, I can't say enough good things about the care. Thankyou Dr. Giurgiu and his staff, I will recommend you to anyone who needs your services!
