Dr. Dan Howard Hudson, MD

My experience with this practice was disappointing and fell short of professional standards. The office was disorganized from the start, with no accurate record of why I had scheduled the appointment or what care I was seeking. During the visit, Dr. Hudson focused on providing services that aligned with the practice's revenue stream rather than my actual medical needs. That approach felt inappropriate and eroded my trust in the care being offered.In addition, although he had my name directly in front of him, he repeatedly referred to me as “Dearie.” We are roughly the same age, and I found this patronizing and disrespectful. It felt condescending rather than being treated as an equal and respected patient. Patients deserve organized care, responses to their needs, and basic professional respect. Unfortunately, this practice fell short on all three. I would not recommend this provider.

My daughter was delivered by Dr. Dan in 2009. He and his office cared for me throughout my pregnancy so well, that I still remember their kindness.

Dr. Hudson has a very caring and compassionate attitude. I am well pleased with him being my GYN Doctor.

Dr. Dan Hudson is a angel of doctor s . He lis a great listener. He can diagnose you when you tell him what's going on. He also gives you a very good check up. Thank you so much for being my doctor. He's a wonderful exceptional man and Doctor. I thank My God for him.

Dr Dan Hudson has been an absolute lifesaver for my husband and I. He is an amazing doctor, tactful and caring and truly advocates for you as a patient. I've used his associates since being a teen but during the birth of my first child, I met him and loved him so much as a physician, I switched solely to him for care. He is compassionate and listens to your needs and concerns. I am now in the process of having my third baby and he has been incredible! I've had two complicated births due to repeat cesarean a caused by renal complications and he has been my saving grace! During this pregnancy, I've endured infections, renal stents and a nephrostomy tube. The urologist was not helpful at all and was even rude to me bc he informed me that he hates caring for pregnant women. So, Dr Dan came to the rescue and handled my every need as best as he could. He is always polite, has sat and listened to my worries and cries and has been just amazing as a provider. This is my last baby but I'll… continue to use him as my regular Gyn and would absolutely recommend him and his abilities to any person requiring care. His staff nurse, Darlene is also a doll and they just make you feel like family.

Coming to this office today was, by far, the WORST experience I've ever had at a doctor's office. I saw Dr. Dan Hudson and he couldn't have been more rude and arrogant. When I initially called to make an appointment, I talked to two or three different ladies and explained my situation THREE times. I was looking for medical attention and the care of an OB for my first trimester only and then I was going to have a home birth with my midwife. The reason I need medical care in the beginning is because I get very bad HG early on in my pregnancies and I need prescription medication to keep me from getting dehydrated from all the vomiting. The ladies I spoke to on the phone supposedly made sure they were matching me with a doctor who was comfortable with my prenatal care plan. Well, when I got there today, Dr. Hudson came in with guns blazing, telling me that he was NOT comfortable with it, he would NOT see me again if I didn't plan to deliver with him, and although he would go ahead and… write me a prescription today, he would NOT be refilling it. I guess it doesn't matter how sick I get when I run out. He is much more concerned with power, control, and covering his own behind than he is about me or my baby. He didn't even shake my hand when he came in. He didn't listen to me explain anything or ask why I wanted to do things this way. I paid $350 out of pocket for that treatment when I was under the impression from his office staff that He was comfortable with my plan. Had I known, I would've never darkened the door of that place. Many of you may read this and think if you plan to go the popular route and have a hospital birth with Dr. Hudson, then he should be ok. Well, I've had two of my friends who had hospital births tell me today (after the fact) that they experienced Dr. Hudson and didn't like him, either. Also, my husband heard another lady in the waiting room say that his bedside manner is terrible. If I were you, I would find somewhere else for my OB and GYN care. I hear all of the doctors at Brookwood are amazing and I would've gone with them if I could've.

Dr Hudson basically told me I was wrong about everything I was complaining about. He offered to do a procedure literally to prove me wrong. He's rude, condescending and not worth your time. Two days after telling me nothing was wrong, I had a cyst rupture on my ovaries. I had a different doctor perform the procedure and found that I had several cysts all over my ovaries. Dr Hudson is useless.
