Everything went well and thorough! Dr. Banu took her time and was thorough.

Ms. Banu (I cannot use a title of doctor with her) has the ability to prescribe a antibiotic, but beyond that, No. Ask to see Dr. Levy.

First time seeing Dr Banu. My dr was off and I have an extremely bad cough. The first thing she did when she walked in the office was complain about her previous patient. So unprofessional! She then tells me she sent over a prescription to the pharmacy and 2 hours later pharmacy still did not have it. I had to call and speak to answering service. I didnt get my meds until 930pm...Horrible dr! Would not recommend

I was shocked to read some of the comments left by unhappy patients on this website regarding Dr. Banu's care. She has been my PCP for over 10 years and has always been caring, thorough, and reliable. I really appreciate that she spends time with me and I don't feel like I'm being pushed out the door, which is what some of my friends say about their PCPs.

I've seen Dr. Banu only about 3 or 4 times in the 10 years sinceI've had her listed as my primary care doc on my health plan. Dr. Banu is overly business-like, says almost nothing when I see her, and appears to care little, if at all, about my chronic condition, which has been stabilized no thanks to her. Sometimes I feel like I know more about my conditions than she does, so as a result, she seems to dislike seeing me. I realize it is difficult to diagnose whether new symptoms are part of the underlying illness or something new, but at least tell me you aren't the right doctor for me. I changed to another primary care as she has added no value to my life.

My experiences with Dr. Banu have been generally pleasant. When appropriate, she takes the time to phone personally to follow up after appointments and tests. Her diagnostic approach seems thorough and careful -- even though doctors these days seem pushed by the insurance companies to do only what they can in as little time as possible.

I saw her about ten years ago. Perhaps she changed her methods, perhaps not. All I know is that when friends and family talk about their worst medical experiences, I beat them all with this. My PCP was on vacation. The front office had me see Dr Banu instead. I had a lump on my shoulder. I was a young man unsure what to expect when seeing the doctor. She walked into the exam room, asked me about my problem, took a look, and LAUGHED AT ME. She couldn't stop laughing as she told me my lump was only acne. I asked her to pop or lance said zit and she stopped laughing and refused. She then referred me to a dermatologist! She told me I should ask my friends with zits to come in so she could review since my visit was the easiest she had ever experienced. Worst bedside manner ever! I moved to California before I had the chance to go back to that practice.
