This Doctor ignored my TMJ pain for over a year, creating problems in my life. She did cosmetic work to my Son and myself and all failed. They are non responsive to emails.

Do NOT send your children to Dr. King. She put me in an unconventional appliance to correct my overbite, that most orthodontists have stopped using because of the risks involved. It was meant to be worn for 1 year or less and she had me in it for almost 7 years. She ignored all my complaints of pain and jaw problems while I was in the appliance and told me everything was normal and insisted I keep the appliance on. Overtime the appliance had pulled the disks in my jaw out of place creating irreversible damage and severe TMJ problems that I will have now for the rest of my life. She uses “holistic” methods that other orthodontists do not use because of the risks associated with them. I went through so much pain and suffering because of Dr. King as a child and still do as an adult. After leaving her practice I had to go through jaw treatment with a TMJ specialist, find a new orthodontist who specialized in TMJ issues for braces for a 2nd time, and visit countless doctors because of… all the damage that was caused. I was on multiple prescription meds including Valium throughout high school and college to mitigate the pain from all the different side effects caused by the TMJ issues, including neck, back, and shoulder pain as well as horrible headaches & migraines. After having gone through all these treatments, I have been told by many doctors that this was a flagrant case of malpractice and I would sue if it were not for the statute of limitations in TX being 2 years from the "date of injury." Other doctors have told me they never refer patients to her because of her reputation among doctors in San Antonio. I would strongly discourage anyone from joining her practice and I sincerely hope no other children have to endure what she put me through.

Dr. King is a truly gifted holistic dentist who looks at how dental conditions affect the whole body. She uses cutting edge technology & techniques & biologically appropriate materials. She's been treating our family for 10 years & corrected both a severe overbite & underbite in our kids using orthodontics. All of her staff are also very professional & friendly. They've helped us resolve several insurance issues. When I asked her for a second opinion about a procedure another dentist wanted to do, not only did she say the procedure wasn't needed, but there was a condition he had overlooked that did need to be treated. Consequently we switched to Dr. King for all our family's dental needs.
